Ubique's Weekly A Mutual Endeavors Publication Issue #18 ~ 15 December 2003 The Blurb Gentle readers, I regret to inform you that this week's issue of Ubique's will be very short and potentially uninspiring. Due to the fact that I have been too busy working to have remembered to send out a weekly reminder, update submissions were not as extensive as I would have preferred. Nonetheless, it is our intention to provide a newsletter for your reading pleasure as we do every week. Though I do apologize in advance if there is not much entertainment within these pages. Perhaps next week there will be more to share. Until then, I do hope that you all still enjoy what is provided herein.
This Just In I'm afraid that there are not many lengthy Headlines to share with you this week. No one has shared anything else with me that I could possibly share with all of you. And since I have been very busy working (no time for play, grr...), I haven't been around much myself to spot big news where others may not see it. So... Here's what we have in this week's: Headlines A New Development: Early Saturday morning, with Anorlas, Colleen, Shun, Destinie and Zane as witnesses, an ant crept into the SMI. Two feet long. It's chitin brittle due to the cold. Oddly non-aggressive. But the real surprise came when Anorlas, in trying to pick the ant up to take it outside, cleared the snow off of it's back. This ant was winged. The ant was killed and cremated behind the Inn. Well, one down... . In recent developments, an intestine was found on the floor at the Silver Moon Inn, creating quite an uproar amongst the immense crowd. Officials have refrained from giving out more information, but rest assured that they are determined to find the culprit before long. In Other News... Anna (AriannaRavenwood): The blue sister continues to tend to her husband Galen (Galen Ravenwood) and son Brion's needs, along with spending her free time baking for the bakery instead of tending at the Silver Moon Inn. Ariana (ArianaMacGyldren): The green sister has been tending to family business and the bakery most of the week. Ariana did look after the Silver Moon Inn twice this week, once when a certain organ was mysteriously left as a present. Although it's been suggested she not cook for the Inn until things are solved, she's still involved with catering the upcoming Rhydin Family Charities fundraiser. Ariana was present at Rachael's (RachaeI MacLeod) return and made a new friend in Shiver the white dragon (The Multifarious). She continues to worry about her daughter Elaine's nightmares and cold. Banshee Aqua (Banshee Aqua): No news this week. Carmine (TaciturnMerc): No news this week. Cassiel (InvertedDarkness): No news this week. Chaus (Wake up caIl): No news this week. D (Duncan H Harper): No news this week. Deputy Marshall Wynter (Rachael Wynter): The scarred law woman in black continues to investigate various crime sprees and has completely abandoned the investigation about the "lighthouse finger murders." Rachael is currently working with Doctor Nigel Newborn (Nigel Newborn) in the official investigation into the recent incidents of various body organs being left at the Silver Moon Inn. Dris (BardGaIIant): Dris escaped the confines of his house (and the affectionate smothering of a certain Spaniard) earlier this week to visit the Silver Moon Inn. After the uproar about the discovery of a body part and the making of a "new friend" (Tara Rynieyn), he decided that he would be much better off enjoying the evening at home. However, he did stop back by in the morning to visit with his mother Ari (ArianaMacGyldren). Mostly he has been keeping himself locked away from the cold and keeping Carmine (Taciturn Merc) company. Doctor Maranya Tatiana Valkonan (Maranya Valkonan): The good Doctor has been tending to her patients, including Sydney and Don Harada (SmileFang and DonatelIo Harada) and Elaine (Elaine Aqua) as well as continuing her work with Mrs. VanHasselt. Maranya's duties have been keeping her busy and as a result she rarely appears in public. The good Doctor still remains noticeably closed mouthed about what happened on her recent trip out of town. Ehzoterik VonArcanum Tempestas (Ehzoterik): No news this week. Elaine (Elaine Aqua): The only change here is that, besides the most adorable little girl in the entire Multiverse suffering from very bad dreams, she also has contracted a very bad cold. Erasimus Greene (PersistanceTime): No news this week. Faye: She Who Tends the Dead (Faye Random): Faye spent one night supervising the Silver Moon Inn this previous week, but other than that she has not been very active. The colder the weather becomes the less and less people see of her. Hibernation is just around the corner. Fox Pepper (Rings Twice): No news this week. Fury (ReversedHaIo): No news this week. Gem (Gemethyst): No news this week. Jack Bishop (Jackrabbit Blue): No news this week. Jade (Irreverent Jade): No news this week. Kevin (Kevin N Summers): No news this week. Kymeera: The Nightmare Keeper (The Dream Warden): No news this week. Mallora (Ma11ora): Mallora is doing fine, as are the triplets. She expects to be out and about sometime after the first of the year... not all that often but at least a few times to catch up with those she has been missing. Matriel (Rarefied Rain): No news this week. Melly (Melanie Wyndham): It's not known whether or not the shy relief baker and counter help at Ariana's Divine Delights Bakery has applied to the mysterious Management for a job at the Silver Moon Inn yet. Mesteno (Bronze Mesteno): No news this week. Mithril/Gadreel/Lusus (ASaintOfSinners): No news this week. Ophelia (EspressoBlues): No news this week. Parhi Grimjaws (The Multifarious): No news this week. Rei (AmethystStarfall): Still developing. Nothing new. Rekah (Rekah Dravina): No news this week. Revari: The Daydream Weaver (KaleidoscopeWhim): No news this week. Robin (Robin Kalahola): Is still missing. Rose (Electrum Rose): No news this week. Seamus Wylie (Seamus Wylie): No terrifically exciting news for Seamus. He's been working at the SMI, still coughing, and flirting shamelessly with Halavar as usual. He does, however, seem to get on edge every time a certain Tara (Tara Rynieyn) comes into the room. Suphlatus (AInfernalElement): No news this week. Suriel (Thirteenthchange): No news this week. Sydney and Donatello Harada (SmileFang, DonatalIo Harada): These two have remarkably managed to avoid trouble this week, for the most part, the biggest inconvenience coming in the form of a police officer (Rachael Wynter) who would really like to catch them for something, for once. But this is one crime spree she's definitely not going to be able to pin on them, and after a few questions, she even moved on to other suspects, as they'd done nothing more than witness a few discoveries of organs in the Silver Moon. Don's brother Mike also put in a brief appearance one night, but stayed outside the Inn. Seems he was much the worse for drink and possibly drugs, and stayed in Don's car waiting...until he stole it and drove off for a joy ride. Don and Syd haven't managed to do much about that yet, as they've both been stricken with a disease they've affectionately nicknamed the Martian Death Cold. Maybe when they crawl back out of their DayQuil induced stupor. The Rev (Rev DiabIo): No news this week. Troy (Troy Embry): No news this week. Vadriel (Vadriel de Guise): No news this week. . Announcements According to our records, this Wednesday (December 17, 2003) is the birthday of a very particular character by the name of Carmine Enrique Molinero-Gonzalez. The Spanish mercenary is documented to be turning 43 years old on that day. For those of you who have seen the character portrayed under the screen name Taciturn Merc, perhaps your character(s) may also be aware of the celebration.
