The Blurb

Storyline Spotlight

Silvermoon Inn: The Silver Moon has four floors, two of which are presently not open to the general public. The second floor is rented rooms, many of which are currently rented out on a permanent basis. Outside the inn is a stable with a loft room. On the ground floor is the common room of the inn. The bar is made of mahogany wood and a mirror rests on the wall behind the bar. A coffee machine golem is set on a counter top. More information on Caife can be found here: The Coffee Maker. Above the bar is a mounted head of one of the giant soldier ants from the notorious Hmte brood. A grand buffet is usually set out at the end of the bar. A sign near the buffet proclaims the food served at the Silver Moon and beverages not containing alcohol are free. This sign also states that blood drinks are not served in the establishment and patrons are asked to refrain from feeding off other patrons within the walls of the Silver Moon. There is a board near the buffet which has the evening's menu posted on it. The common room features a fireplace to warm weary bones. Two couches have been placed near the hearth, as well as a few comfortably cushioned arm chairs. Not far from the hearth is an area of the Inn marked off as the resting spot of the Grand Red Dragon. The Grand Red Dragon is a piano. This instrument is an example of the finest craftsmanship made from mahogany and has been crafted into the shape of a resting dragon. At one time the Grand Red was held in the Red Dragon Inn, rumored to have been crafted by S. Driscol as a present for his adopted mother Ariana MacGyldren. He insisted that the piano be moved from the RDI to the Silver Moon Inn so that it could continue to be near her. Just outside the front door of the inn is porch with wrap around railings. A porch swing resides there to accommodate stargazers, those that wish to share quiet chats or just a breath of fresh air. While the kitchen and upper rooms of the Inn are off limits to all but employees, the Silver Moon Inn still stands as a rich environment where all walks of life are welcome to enjoy their time together.

Headlines

A Battle of Wide-Scale Proportions: Authorities are busily picking through the remains of what appears to have been some sort of wizard's war, or according to some witnesses a dragon fight. The battle was responsible for leveling an entire city block and causing untold damages to property and loss of lives. If anyone has any information as to who was responsible for this heinous crime, they are asked to report their findings to the most reliable law officer that is currently on duty.

Continued Quarantine: Sections of the East End have been placed under quarantine due to the continuing spread of the plague. The hospitals are full and people have now taken to going to taverns and begging for medical assistance. It is unknown why people would think to find treatment at a tavern of all places, but some say that they are hoping that they would have the fortune to run into a healer that might hang out there.

The Silver Moon Inn: There has been so much development as of late concerning the progress of the SMI, that I felt it would be beneficial to include some of these alterations here. As stated last week, there was a meeting held not to long ago to discuss certain issues that have been arising in the past months. One conclusion that was made was the business hours of the Inn.

The Silver Moon Inn is open 7 days a week between the hours of 8:00 pm until 5:00 am Eastern Standard Time.

For all those interested in having a place to play, the SMI should always have an official RO on hand during these times. During which times in which there are no official ROs present, the SMI is considered to be on its own. Threads of Time: In concordance with the strange occurrences of fluctuating time and space, scientists have concluded that another mystery may be involved. There has been an evidently odd increase of arachnid activity during the course of the winter. Researchers claim that most spiders should be dormant during the colder months, and yet there have been a great deal of sightings of new webs being constructed in usual and unusual places. Some households have even become so overrun with spiders that local exterminators have been called in. While their business has been booming, it is also a fact that the spider problem has not been so easily dealt with. Local onsite researchers are even willing to pay a great sum of money to anyone who may be able to capture one of these arachnids and bring it back to their laboratories. As of yet, none have been brought under the scrutinizing eye of the microscope.

Ahriman (TheAngraMaiynu): Rumor has it that a mysterious "philanthropist" has shown up on the East End of town and is helping the sick and dying get better......for a price.

Andrea Knight (Gaian Rampage): Rumor has it that she's no longer in Rhydin.

Anna (AriannaRavenwood): The blue sister, along with her husband Galen (Galen Ravenwood) and son Brion, continues to remain at her husband's clan lands with her twin sister and her immediate family. She happily spent Valentine's Day with her husband

Ariana (ArianaMacGyldren): The green sister, along with her husband Galen (Galen MacGyldren) and daughter Elaine (Elaine Aqua), continues to reside at her husband and brother in law's clan lands. She still worries about her one heartson Neko (Jibudoka Neko) after the letter she received from him speaking of fighting the orcs. Ariana has only made appearances at the bakery to tend to affairs there, including helping her daughter Elaine make Valentine's Day and birthday presents for Dris (BardGaiiant) and Carmine (TaciturnMerc). Other than that, the green sister still is in private mourning and is planning to avenge her son's murder. Ariana happily spent the holiday with her husband.

Arienh Crowther-Driscol (Arienh Driscol): The young magess returned from her adventures to help celebrate her father's birthday this past Saturday at the Silver Moon Inn. Carmine also asked her if she would be willing to watch the house while her parents take a little vacation sometime in March. So maybe she'll be sticking around longer and take a break from her own adventures for a little while.

Auggy (TSgtBenson): No news this week.

Calypso (Lady Proudfoot): She is still missing. Now Cassiel is beginning to wonder what became of her.

Captain Merriam "Heavy Metal" Harris, USAF (Retired) (Heavy Metal Mer): No news this week.

Carolyn Ariana Valkonan (DreamsinBurgundy):Free! Free of her mother's womb! Bwua ha ha hah!

Carmine (TaciturnMerc): He is pleased that the surprise birthday celebration that he with the help of Arienh planned for Dris went so well. The only concern he had during the whole time was that some rambunctious puppy person was going to knock over and destroy the cake.

Cassiel (InvertedDarkness): The melancholy angel of tears has not been seen in public for quite some time. When he is not spending time with Vadriel, he is known to be helping Gem care for her baby during those times that she has to go out.

Chase LeMonde (Chase LeMonde): No news this week.

Deputy Marshall Wynter (Rachael Wynter): The scarred law woman in black still investigates various crime sprees. Yet again, that's kept her too busy to appear in public this past week. Rachael did find time to spend Valentine's Day with a very special person in her life.

Diana Lasher (Fragile Fury): No news this week.

Doctor Maranya Tatiana Valkonan (Maranya Valkonan): She's tending to her patients as usual. The good Doctor took another brief break from her usual duties and made a public appearance at the Silver Moon Inn, full of cheer and blushing from Dris' (SMI Dris) flirting. Maranya spent Valentine's Day in a very special way.

Drake Valkonan (Drake Valkonan): The Scientist is as absolutely thrilled as can be. He's a father! A proud, beaming, incredibly happy father! (Just wait until the 2 AM feedings catch up to him, though...)

Dris (BardGaIIant): A very busy week. Dris is trying to adjust to working two hours a night for six days straight over at the Silver Moon Inn while he helps show a new employee the ropes. He has been enjoying his time with Andrea (SMI Andy), as well as touching base with old friends and making new ones in the process. After learning of some recent troubled events from Syd (SmileFang) about family matters, he caught Seamus (Seamus Wylie) one evening to talk to him about what has been going on. Learning that Zeke (XZekeil DrakeX) was somehow involved with all these troubles, he sought the man out to interrogate him and hopefully discover a way in which he could help out. Much to his dismay there was nothing he could do. So perhaps to feel useful somehow, he helped a strange young creature recently named Cuore Pup (a puppy toy) have a secure place to stay by renting him a room at the Silver Moon Inn. He also celebrated his birthday this past Saturday on Valentine's Day. Carmine (Taciturn Merc) and his daughter Arienh (Arienh Driscol) both pulled a surprise on him by holding a party at the Silver Moon Inn during his shift. Quite an assortment of gifts he received, but most of all he was just pleased to spend that time with friends and family. He was very pleased to see Elaine (Elaine Aqua), but still wonders where Ari has been hiding.

Dr. Newborn (Nigel Newborn): No news this week.

Ehzoterik VonArcanum Tempestas (Ehzoterik): Ehz dropped by the Silver Moon Inn earlier this week to warn people of the coming of the big fat winged baby. Otherwise known as Cupid. She was full of cheer and the intent to spread the joy by giving people hugs and kisses, until she accidentally made a mental connection to Seamus' (Seamus Wylie) inner psyche and deep memories. Her mental powers triggered a switch in which she seemed to have become possessed by Seamus' old master. All was well when Cat (Matakhat Cain) beaned her in the head with a coffee mug and knocked her out. When she came to, she was absolutely oblivious to the atrocities that had transpired. If she remembered anything, she would hope that Seamus isn't afraid of her in the future. But as it is, she's more than likely going to be baffled next time she runs into him.

Elaine (Elaine Aqua): Elaine continues to make batches of cinnamon rolls for the person who got her bad dreams to stop. She also, with the help of her Ma, made cinnamon rolls, cherry turnovers and cherry cinnamon cookies for Dris (BardGaIIant) and Carmine (TaciturnMerc), along with bags of sugar cookies for people at the Silver Moon Inn, which the busy ten year old delivered on Valentine's Day. She misses her brother Banshee (Banshee Aqua) and doesn't believe he's truly gone.

Emmy (Empress Grayfur): Has taught Elaine a new game which consists of Emmy untying her shoelaces and then teaching her to tie them before she trips.

Erasimus Greene (PersistanceTime): Once more the obnoxious old gnome has disappeared from the public eye. Have we seen the last of him yet? Only time will tell.

Faye: She Who Tends the Dead (Faye Random): Still hibernating.

Fox Pepper (Rings Twice): No news this week.

Fury (ReversedHaIo): She hasn't been seen in weeks. That's no surprise. She's off doing dealings with Lusiphur himself. Next time she's around one can only assume there will be trouble.

Gem (Gemethyst): Taking care of her baby, tending bar, training a new recruit at the Silver Moon Inn, and probably wondering why Pleione isn't talking to her. Other than that, no news this week.

Irina Braeden (Irina Braeden): In this week's installment, Irina's still working at her new job, no Metroid attacks!, made a few new friends, bought Auggy Valentine's Day presents, gotten V-Day presents from Auggy and mentally attacked by a Kittycat Man, home alone on V-Day, hits the local inns most every night and yet she still finds time to work on the next issue of Bright Suns. All in all, a pretty typical week for this native Rhydin resident. Stay tuned.

J (Duncan J Harper): Once again we lost a chief printing editor to a terrible fate. Maybe we should just give up researching this one.

Jack Bishop (Jackrabbit Blue): The schizophrenic bunnyboy hasn't been out much this past week. He did make a brief visit to the Silver Moon Inn early one morning to get some coffee on his way to hunt down some rock salt to help clear the ice away at Doc 'Anya's (Maranya Valkonan) ranch. While there he ran into Irina (Irina Braeden) and stopped to chat about what has been going on. With her help, he managed to think up the most brilliant gift to give Nerissa on Valentine's Day. Hopefully she likes that jade bracelet as well as the necklace he gave her so long ago.

Jade (Irreverent Jade): No changes here.

Johan (Johan the Hunter): No news this week.

Joshua (Fashion Error): Having paid the hefty price for a week's stay in the Silver Moon Inn, the badly dressed sidhe youth has been laying low. So far he has managed to puzzle some people with his overly elegant table manners and odd food requests. People are beginning to wonder if the poor kid is suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder.

Kakabel (FrameworkMemento): No news this week.

Kevin (Kevin N Summers): No news this week.

Kymeera: The Nightmare Keeper (The Dream Warden): Apparently his new victim wasn't as entertaining as he could have been. For Kymeera seems to have broken the deal. Or at the very least is no longer so intent on haunting Morgan's dreams.

Mallora (Ma11ora): No news this week.

Matakhat Cain (Matakhat Cain): The only news we have is that apparently Cat's student and teacher strike had quite an impact on convincing the Northedge Academy council to reinstate Donatello Harada as dean. Other than that, we are completely clueless.

Matriel (Rarefied Rain): An odd little old lady dressed in bright yellow rain gear, and carrying an enormous black umbrella has been seen wandering about as she enjoys refreshing spring showers that have been known to occur every now and then across town. The moment the rain stops, the lady is nowhere to be seen.

Melly (Melanie Wyndham): The shy relief baker and counter help at Ariana's Divine Delights Bakery still has yet to tend at the Silver Moon Inn. Melanie had a very enjoyable Valentine's Day.

Mesteno (Bronze Mesteno): No news this week.

Mestrangelo (MestrangeIo): The purveyor has been AWOL most of this past week, and only recently has the reason come to light. The shop that she'd oft spoken of opening is finally in Rhydin. Now that her business has a concrete base of operations, a storefront for people to place the name to, this could mean easier hours for the purveyor and her staff ... or the exact opposite. When does Mestrangelo ever sleep, anyway?

Mithril/Gadreel/Lusus (ASaintOfSinners): He has been keeping himself busy with assorted business projects. So far they include a peacock coop, a rooftop garden, weapon lessons, metallurgy, and learning the fine craft of technomancy

Morgan Knight (Morgan Rampage): Whew. So far, Morgan has: adopted two bunnies, a kitten, and a puppy, thanks to Ehzoterik, an animal shelter, and Veurwen; been shot down by Veurwen, yet gotten a date with Cadence Halliwell; been dragged around by Rose for transportation; continued to have nightmares constantly, thanks to Kymeera; botched an attempt to stop a possession; finally become slightly aware of the fact that Seamus just might be jealous of the time he spends with Rose, despite it being entirely platonic; and put into motion a plan to buy $100 million worth of assets for Stephen. Kid keeps busy, huh? Maybe someone should tell him that those bunnies grow really fast and that they'll be breeding any day now. Seems Ehz neglected to inform him that those are special Limbo bunnies...

Mozart (AmadaeusFelidae): The cat is still missing. Carmine is beginning to think he will never see the cat again.

Nerissa Siallie (Nerissa Siallie): No news this week.

Nicole Brock Anorlasvessë (Nicole E Brock): No news this week.

Ophelia (EspressoBlues): Life has been good so far for the punkette coffee shop hostess. She has stumbled upon some rare coffees that have been sent to her courtesy of a mysterious supplier. After checking them out to make sure they are safe, she can now proudly add the outrageously expensive Kopi Luwak coffee to her stock for a mere 75 gold per quarter pound. Jamaican Blue Mountain and other assorted coffees are also available at much more reasonable (though still justifiably high) prices.

Parhi Grimjaws (The Multifarious): No News this week.

Pleione (Stellar Balinese): She is still not talking to Gem or anyone else for that matter. Though while Cassiel is watching over Rei, she has been known to sneak out for longer prowls than usual.

Rachael MacLeod (RachaeI MacLeod): No news this week.

Randall Woods (Elaborate Guns): Nothing has changed.

Rei (AmethystStarfall): The baby so far has been doing little more than eating, sleeping, and soiling diapers. The world is a simple place when one is an infant.

Revari: The Daydream Weaver (KaleidoscopeWhim): No news this week.

Rose Hayes Valkonan (Electrum Rose): Finally popped that baby out Valentine's Day morning around 6:00 am. We're sure she's very happy to be free of all that extra weight. More happy to have a daughter!

Seamus Wylie (Seamus Wylie): Seamus has had a busy, harrowing week. First Ehzoterik started channeling what was apparently his old master, chasing him down behind the bar at the SMI. Then Mervyn (Vicious Mervyn) the till snake bit him twice in one night, the second time mangling his hand quite badly and deliberately. The last worry seemed a bit more mundane, but just as important to Seamus -- what was he going to get Rose for Valentine's Day? Morgan had bought her a beautiful necklace, and Seamus is penniless -- how to compete? Evidently, the pendant Seamus wound up buying for Rose was satisfactory -- the couple were seen actually slow-dancing in the Silver Moon on the big day, with Seamus humming the music.

Shiver (The Multifarious): No news this week.

Stephen Valkonan (Stephen Valkonan): No news this week.

Suriel (Thirteenthchange): As he was performing his rounds he saw a series of cats convening in an alleyway. One of them looked like it might have been a rather distinctive tuxedo cat, but he did not have the time to stick around and see for certain.

Sydney and Donatello Harada (SmileFang, DonatalIo Harada): The pair have been staying out of the limelight this week, after Don got his job at Northedge Academy back. It did come out at the SMI that Don is being forced by the board, as a condition of his rehiring, to wear a holographic imager at all times while teaching. Apparently, having a mutant turtle as the Dean is "unseemly." Sydney, who had been seen in public alone a few times, drinking more than she should have been, did not seem happy with this decision at all, though Don has accepted it with just a shrug.

Terrance Tomar-Duncan (Terrance Tomar): Terrance is still being a homebody. He has not even been in phone contact with anyone other than his immediate family as he is deeply engaged in the complicated process of needing fewer and fewer name tags. At this pace he will very soon lose his group rate at Fizban's Discount Shopping Club.

The Archangel Camael (Emerald Nimbus):The Archangel Camael has enacted Heaven's will by striking down the fallen Camael and his paramour. Yet well knows he that his job is not complete. The demon left a nephilim...

Tomas Dante Diablo (Rev DiabIo, Revered Tengu): No news this week.

Troy (Troy Embry): No news this week.

Vadriel (Vadriel de Guise): No news this week.

Yoshi (KitsuneNineTails): Other than dropping by various taverns to seek out people to teach the fine arts of sighing with great boredom as opposed to merely "sighing boredly," he has not been doing much. Word has it that he did take the time to send a few people all the way across the fabric of reality to a different dimension and later returned them safely but the exact details of this trip are vague at best.
