Resident Rhydin: There was an outbreak of a strain of virus recently. Victims displayed violent tendencies, unexplained sweating, and a penitent for human flesh. Zombies. It lasted two days, several of the SMI regulars caught and some even bitten. And then...went away. All of the zombies mysteriously pulled out of the fight, wandering off towards an unknown centralized locale. More on this later.

The Silver Moon Inn: Rumor has it that there are two new tenders working at the Silver Moon Inn. Over the past two weeks, local Rhydin residents have been witness to training hours for an SMI Andy and an SMI LSama. These two ladies are known more personally as Andrea (Andy) and simply L. In a press release given by the SMI's right hand man, it is rumored to believe that these two new recruits will now be permitted full scale tending duties in which they will not need to have a veteran tender with them on duty. Whether or not there is some sort of graduation ceremony is yet to be determined. However, management would like to remind all customers of the Inn's business hours and who to expect behind the counter at those times. In Other News...

Ahriman (TheAngraMaiynu): No news this week, and that is a good thing.

Aldous the Axe (SMI Axe): The right hand man of the Silver Moon Inn released a press statement this weekend concerning the official graduation of two of the newest tenders. SMI's Andy and L are expected to be on their own from here on out.

Alexander Woods (Terra Nephilim): No news this week.

Alquin (Woodland Shield): There have been strange reports of a mysterious hooded man scouring the countryside slaughtering zombies left and right. Whoever he is, he seems to be very good at beheading and ripping these monsters apart.

Andrea (SMI Andy):Congratulations to the newest graduate from the training sessions of the SMI official tending duties. From here on out Andy will be expected to run the bar on her own. Hopefully in the future we will have more news about this mysterious tender.

Andrea Knight (Gaian Rampage): Yes, she is no longer in Rhydin. It's unknown as to whether she'll be back.

Anna (AriannaRavenwood): The blue sister, along with her husband Galen (Galen Ravenwood) and son Brion, is at present content to remain at her husband's clan lands with her twin sister and her immediate family

Ariana (ArianaMacGyldren): The green sister, along with her husband Galen (Galen MacGyldren) and daughter Elaine (Elaine Aqua), still resides at her husband and brother in law's clan lands. She continues to worry about her one heartson Neko (Jibudoka Neko) after the one letter she received from him speaking of fighting the orcs. Ariana made two brief appearances at the Silver Moon Inn this week, one where she encountered Drake and her infant godchild Carolyn Ariana Valkonan (Drake Valkonan and DreamsInBurgundy) and the other cooking for the SMI this past Saturday night, which involved cooking implement and food tossing at Joker (SMI Joker) after he made very inappropriate comments to her in the kitchen during his shift. Other than that, the green sister still is in private mourning and is planning to avenge her son's murder.

Arienh Crowther-Driscol (Arienh Driscol): Mostly the young magess has been busy, either watching her parents' house or looking for her Papa's cat...

Auggy (TSgtBenson): Sgt. Benson has been investigating reports of strange craft in the skies around Rhydin. Sgt. Benson has been unable to observe these craft closely but a text transmission received late Friday night indicates he has found a landing site and is investigating. It is not clear where this site is or when Sgt. Benson will be in contact with his commander.

Calypso (Lady Proudfoot): She is back! She refuses to say where it was that she went, but is now safe and sound back at Vadriel's place. She is enjoying her tuna.

Captain Merriam "Heavy Metal" Harris, USAF (Retired) (Heavy Metal Mer): She was seen recently in the Silver Moon, after dealing with some zombies by her own admission. The Virtual Adept didn't say much, and left when her partner Vertigo (Etheric Vertigo) called her on her cell.

Carolyn Ariana Valkonan (DreamsinBurgundy):She got to meet interesting people this week when Daddy brought her out to visit. A lovely but sad green lady, and a funny-smelling and funny-feeling man! She has to wonder (as much as infants do) who she'll meet next...

Carmine (TaciturnMerc): Still no sign of his cat, though he has received a letter from some mysterious person that he still lives. That has made him hopeful.

Cassiel (InvertedDarkness): He is still caring for Gem's infant when he gets the chance. He had an enjoyable visit with Mesteno the other day and asked his opinion on a gift that he has been planning to give Vadriel for a very long time. A new song that has been written just for him. Mesteno approved.

Chase LeMonde (Chase LeMonde): Chase has personally taken on the job of hunting down Carver Mephisto.

Chaus (Wake up caIl): No news this week.

Colleen MacLeod (PrlUnicorn): No news this week.

Corey (Corey Elfkin, Corey Elfkinn): No news this week.

D (Duncan H Harper): Same old, same old.

Deputy Marshall Wynter (Rachael Wynter): The scarred law woman in black still investigates various crime sprees, including a recent series of muggings in the slum areas. Yet again, that's kept her too busy to appear in public this past week.

Diana Lasher (Fragile Fury): No news this week.

Doctor Maranya Tatiana Valkonan (Maranya Valkonan): She's tending to her patients as usual. The good Doctor took another brief break from her usual duties and made a public appearance at the Silver Moon Inn. Maranya also healed her nephew Stephen's (Stephen Valkonan) recent injuries and took the Paradox effects on herself for a while.

Drake Valkonan (Drake Valkonan): Continuing to enjoy fatherhood.

Dris (BardGaIIant): The bard and craftsman has been ever more the socialite these past few weeks. He spends most of his socializing time working behind the counter at the Silver Moon Inn. He is very relieved that he no longer has to stand on watch as a trainer for Andrea (SMI Andy), but promises to still try and make an appearance from time to time during her shifts. He has greatly enjoyed making the ladies blush, such as Maranya (Maranya Valkonan) and Irina (Irina Braeden). He has also been feeling really good about seeing some old friends. Earlier this week Bri (Sabrielle Marrick) asked him if he and Carmine (Taciturn Merc) would be willing to act as godfathers to her yet unborn child. He is still a little leery about the idea, considering he will really have to change the Spaniard's mind about Bri to be able to get an agreement on both of their parts. Aside from all of this, he has actually also taken an active part in searching for Carmine's stupid cat.

Dr. Newborn (Nigel Newborn): No news this week.

Ehzoterik VonArcanum Tempestas (Ehzoterik): Rhydin's favorite, friendly, neighborhood psychopath has not been seen much in the past week. Though she did stop by the UW offices to try to clear up some misconception going on about a relationship she might hold to a man by the name of Raef. Ehz vigilantly denies these claimes as being true.

Elaine (Elaine Aqua): Elaine continues to make batches of cinnamon rolls for the person who got her bad dreams to stop. She still misses her brother Banshee (Banshee Aqua) and really doesn't believe he's truly gone.

Emmy (Empress Grayfur): Spending so much time at the Bakery with Elaine has caused the poor Russian Blue to come down with a serious sneezing allergy to flour. It just makes her itch and sneeze.

Erasimus Greene (PersistanceTime): No news this week.

Faye: She Who Tends the Dead (Faye Random): Still hibernating.

Fury (ReversedHaIo): No news this week.

Gem (Gemethyst): Gem is getting back in shape by undergoing extensive sword training with Paige Nevin Halliburton, and work outs of her own devising which includes leaping across roof-tops and scaling walls. She is taking to being a mother quite naturally at this point, nursing her babe and dealing with little sleep. The babe grows quickly and well, and is already smiling.

Irina Braeden (Irina Braeden): In this week's installment, Irina's still working at her new job, no Metroid attacks!, made a few new friends, moved back to the great apartment, learned how to shoot neat guns, didn't catch the viruses out there yet!, hits the local inns most every night and yet she still finds time to work on the next issue of Bright Suns. All in all, a pretty typical week for this native Rhydin resident. Stay tuned.

J (Duncan J Harper): Still no successful research completed on this mysterious entity.

Jack Bishop (Jackrabbit Blue): No news this week.

Jade (Irreverent Jade): Still pretty much a vegetable.

Jane Doe (Doe eyed Jane): This sultry siren has wandered into town and is currently rooming with Irina. Jane is currently seeking employment as a singer.

Jesiah Daen (Jesiah Daen): A newcomer, Jesiah Daen, has shown up in the vicinity of the Silver Moon Inn. He has advertised as a "general handyman" in the Inn and by word of mouth.

Johan (Johan the Hunter): Rumor has it that management has gone on vacation.

Joshua (Fashion Error): He has renewed his rooms for the week and is now in the process of actually looking for a job. He has never had a job before, and is fairly clueless about how to go about doing this. Old Nag has not been much help in this area.

Kakabel (FrameworkMemento): No news this week.

Kevin (Kevin N Summers): No news this week.

Kymeera: The Nightmare Keeper (The Dream Warden): No news this week.

L (LSama, SMI LSama):Congratulations to the newest graduate of the school of hard SMI knocks. Perhaps we'll hear more about this mysteriously perky tender in future issues.

Mallora (Ma11ora): Everythings getting back to normal for Mallora and the Triplets, she had a good birthday and should be around the realms more often.

Matakhat Cain (Matakhat Cain): Cat was busy this week. After an evening of fun at the Silver Moon Inn, she was returning to Northedge with her beau Stephen Valkonan in his car. Rose and Seamus drove back with Morgan in his car when they were all surrounded by zombies. They were able to escape the cars and sheltered themselves in a house where Rose, Cat, Seamus, and Morgan were bit by the zombies and mutant rats. Fortunately she and Seamus were vaccinated...thanks Don! Regardless, they both were sick for nearly 24 hours afterwards expelling the zombie stuff. Luckily, Don and Syd got Rose and Seamus to safety and Joe Yamada was able to pick up Stephen, Morgan and Cat and bring them back to Northedge for their treatments.

On the lighter side, Rose and Cat decided to "decorate" Seamus one night when they got him drunk. Let's just say, hair painting, glitter, fingernail and toe polish, fake eyelashes, lots of make up and a precariously placed tic tac toe game adorning his body were involved. Seamus was NOT a happy sailor when he woke up and declared his revenge.

Oh, and is she sporting a promise ring from a certain Valkonan family member?

Matriel (Rarefied Rain): No news this week.

Melly (Melanie Wyndham): The shy relief baker and counter help at Ariana's Divine Delights Bakery still hasn't tended bar at the Silver Moon Inn.

Mervyn (Vicious Mervyn): The till snake at the Silver Moon Inn is still alive and kicking...and scratching and biting. Sharp tongued as ever.

Mesteno (Bronze Mesteno): The sadist brat has of late been rather mellow in comparison to the norm, succeeding in attempts to avoid the drink, and live more healthily in general. Violent encounters have been kept to a minimum, and he has in fact been scarce due to a five day trip to Rome with Michael, spent exploring the city and the village of Torrita for clues to his own background. Good news came in the form of word from Cassiel regarding the angel Puriel, who had been keen to see Mesteno done away with -- seems somewhere there has been intervention on the sadist's behalf!

Mestrangelo (MestrangeIo): No news this week.

Mithril/Gadreel/Lusus (ASaintOfSinners): His technomancy lessons have begun in full force. He was also seen at a temple of Ishtar while Terrance was having some nanites removed.

Morgan Knight (Morgan Rampage): The young Akashic had a date this week -- and more disurbingly, a run-in with several zombies! Trapped in a house with his compatriots, Morgan was actually infected with the zombie virus, and began a gradual descent into mindless zombiehood. Fortunately he was inoculated with the vaccine in time to prevent permanent damage, but since then the youth has not been seen in public.

Mozart (AmadaeusFelidae): Still missing.

Nerissa Siallie (Nerissa Siallie): No news this week.

Nicole Brock Anorlasvessë (Nicole E Brock): No news this week.

Ophelia (EspressoBlues): No news this week.

Parhi Grimjaws (The Multifarious): No News this week.

Pleione (Stellar Balinese): She still has not left Rei's side, especially when Gem is tending bar and has the infant with her. Recent reports conclude that she does not much like the fact that Gem would take the baby to such a public place, for the people are rude and she highly dislikes the majority.

Rachael MacLeod (RachaeI MacLeod): No news this week.

Raef (Hraefn Korppi): During all the strange occurrences in the past two weeks, there has been an enigmatic presence who refers to himself as Raef. When asked what manner of creature he is, he simply states that he is a friend. It is clear that he is an ancient being and rumors have him tied to Ehzoterik somehow. Perhaps his method of entry is the basis for these rumors. Raef prefers to enter through the broom closet. It’s easy to see how some people might associate that with Ehz.

Ramiel (Ember Shade): He spent a week off of work recently...of course there's still no real reason why he's been acting so strangely. He just told Ophelia that it was "A surprise" and he had "a lot of work to do" on it. Maybe a belated Valentine's Day present? Only time will tell.

Randall Woods (Elaborate Guns): No news this week.

Rei (AmethystStarfall): Still sleeping, eating, and soiling diapers. Ah, the simple life of an infant.

Rekah (Rekah Dravina): Her birthday is coming up!

Revari: The Daydream Weaver (KaleidoscopeWhim): The spirit of memories and happy dreams made an appearance earlier this week at the Silver Moon Inn. Perhaps she was bored, or maybe she was conducting a study. None will truly know. She spent her entire time there standing against the wall and watching the patrons interract. She was quite fascinated with a man's helmet (Joe Yamada) and a young woman's sketching device (Irina Braeden). She was also intrigued about a particular stranger's tattoo and the meaning of the words etched around the artwork. However, she has said nothing much about what she might or might not know.

Rhiannon Brock (Rhiannon D Brock): No news this week.

Rose Hayes Valkonan (Electrum Rose): No news this week.

Seamus Wylie (Seamus Wylie): Where do we start? Well, Seamus survived the zombie thing. Lost all his hair and discovered his girlfriend was pregnant, but generally okay. Of course he also broke a pin in his leg. That's been replaced with a plate. Which made it worse when he was slipped a few dozen Mickey and decorated later in the week by Cat and Rose. Quite the joke. He's forgiven them. He's just...getting revenge. Lots of revenge. Nasty, painful...funny revenge. They painted his crutches PURPLE. Either way...we can assume all of this was kind of forgotten Sunday night. Rose has been working for an Underground Railroad, something Seamus knew. Didn't like, but knew. Unfortunately...she's been seen. One of the rules of the group is that, if you've been spotted, you're put on a boat without anyone knowing where you're going. You stay, you risk the entire operation to the city guard. If she goes...she leaves Seamus behind. She knew he'd follow her, and she also knew that if he was caught, he'd be taken too. Something he wouldn't allow alive. And made sure that he didn't get killed. He thinks she's just left him. Currently, both have taken up residence elsewhere, Seamus with Don, Rose with Morgan, although that last part, no one but she, Morgan, and Stephen know. Possibly more heartbreaking than all of this? All she wants is to go home.

Shiver (The Multifarious): No news this week.

Stephen Valkonan (Stephen Valkonan): Again, he's been busy. After giving Cat (Matakhat Cain) a very special Valentine's day present, the two were stuck along with Morgan, Seamus, and Rose in an old house by disease-ridden zombies. Eventually they managed to make a daring escape. Stephen succumbed to a bit of bronchitis after cannibalizing his own life energy to perform technomagick to aid in the escape. However, thanks to the ministrations of his aunt Maranya, he's expected to make a full recovery.

Suriel (Thirteenthchange): No news this week.

Sydney and Donatello Harada (SmileFang, DonatalIo Harada): Well, not all that much that would interest the general public has happened to the turtle and his wife. Well. Besides that pesky outbreak of a zombie virus that trapped Cat, Stephen, Morgan, Seamus and Rose in a house. That was a bit of a problem. Got them all back safely, and well...yeah, Don had to deck Morgan twice and hold him down. But doesn't that count as safe?

Terrance Tomar-Duncan (Terrance Tomar): Terrance paid a visit early this week to the temple of Ishtar with his stepfather, John (JohnathanBradshw), to remove a piece of drowish technology from his heart. It has been there for over two years, filling his bloodstream with nanites, and finally the long period of waiting for a removal method and hoping that no one would ever cast Heat Metal near him is over. He is now certified 100% organic. Also at the temple during this procedure were Terry's father Tracy (TrcyDuncan) and Mithril (ASaintOfSinners).

The Archangel Camael (Emerald Nimbus):No news this week.

The Cottontail Menace (Cottontail Menace): The bunnies are reproducing at incredible rates and some have even developed the powers of speech and logic. They seem to be concentrated around vegetable farms but there are also reports of the rabbits ransacking grain stores.

The Orcish Horde (SNs Pending): The Horde still moves on the farmlands surrounding Rhydin. Farmers continue to stream into Rhydin proper seeking shelter. At least one farmer has been seen trying to hire mercenaries to defend his village. For now, it seems that the Horde is not advancing any closer to Rhydin proper but sitting on the farmlands as if waiting.

The Red Suits (Keep em clean): Red suits have been spotted all over Rhydin scanning citizens at random. Very little is known about these suits other than they speak in an odd language of clicks and pops and their Basic/Common translators are very poor. Witnesses report hearing the suits state something about an area 50km west of Municipal Spaceport #32.

Tomas Dante Diablo (Rev DiabIo, Revered Tengu): Miguel Cerrano has received a letter from our beloved reverend. All seems to have calmed in Japan and Tom misses his Rhydin friends. Despite missing people, he reports being quite happy in his new home. Anyone wishing to send letters to Rev can mail them to or leave them at Nachtwulf Dojo (Rev DiabIo). Mr. Cerrano will see that they are delivered.

Tricky Streets (Tricky Streets): The young Mr. Streets was last seen at Port Hospital and is currently missing. According to the hospital billing department, Mr. Streets checked himself out of the hospital. Reliable witnesses assert that Mr. Streets would have been in no condition to check himself out of the hospital. Any readers with information about Mr. Streets are encouraged to contact police.

Troy (Troy Embry): No news this week.

Vadriel (Vadriel de Guise): The heretic has in fact been out and about of late in attempts to be less of a recluse after he realized how poor his social skills had become due to visits from a certain sadist and several friends. When not working, he's been spending his days with Cassiel and attempting with little success to make his home less of a spook playground. The search for his old tormentor David continues.

Valleana (Va11eana): Valleana is doing alright but spends most of her time hiding in the Library or teaching her twins. The Twins are now keeping her very busy as they are walking, running and generally getting into things.

Wilhelm "Dozer" Braun (SMI Dozer): No news this week.

Yoshi (KitsuneNineTails): Gasp! There is no news on the kitsune? That is not a good thing, for it means that he can merrily go about his mischief unsupervised.

Zeke (XZekeil DrakeX): In an attempt to save Seamus, Rose, and everyone else from the influence of Quinton Vantrell, he has left the realm for an undetermined time. He's currently staying at a small monastary in an undisclosed location. Hopefully they will be able to help him with the Vantrell problem. If not, he'll become a hermit until the matter is closed for good.

Zelphina (XZeIphina): Still missing.
