"Dear Readers,

UW's many varied dedicated and loyal. I never expected that I would have to be away from the role-playing and Internet worlds for so very long. I remember once a forced vacation that I had to take for close to two years. Never then did I realize as I do now how addicting such a recreational hobby can be. Perhaps it is because I think of it as more than mere entertainment. I think of you all as friends and sometimes family. I do not think I would have survived in this mentally chaotic world as long as I have without the love and support that I find in each and every one of you.

For the past four to five issues, I have left Ubique's Weekly under the care of my most dedicated Interim Editor AG. I hope I am not the only one who thinks that she has been doing an excellent job keeping the dream alive and keeping us all together. But I feel that I must state now that editing a publication such as this is not a task that one person can handle alone. For UW to be successful it needs the support and assistance of all its readers. Without weekly updates, UW would be nothing but a blank page. I hope to never come back to find it reduced to something so unacceptable. I've said it before, but I feel the need to say it again. Think of AG as you would think of me. Support her in striving to keep the dream alive and the great UW project running for years to come. If it weren't for such volunteer efforts, there would be no issues 33-38. If it weren't for all of you, there would be no content for the issues that have been created in my absence. In a way, I am disappointed that I should be feeling disappointment. The stories are out there to be shared. So why not share them?

The way things are going now, I'm afraid I have to push back my grand return debut to the middle of June. The middle of May is already here, and well... I'm still not capable of returning full time. Forgive me for having up away messages and the like, but my time online is limited. Have faith in each other and always remember the Golden Rule. I presume you all know what that is. I'm trying my best to return as swiftly as possible, but life really hit me hard. Damn reality! Heh. I miss you all. Hopefully we will not be apart for much longer. In my absence, remember to have fun. I can't ask for anything more.

A cloaked figure seemed to be haunting the Silver Moon Inn while Caife (SMI Multifarious) was on duty tending bar. The figure had an encounter with a few of the patrons, including Irina (Irina Braeden).

Ahriman (TheAngraMaiynu): No news is good news when it comes to a creature like this.

Aldous the Axe (SMI Axe): The mysterious right hand to Management has gone back to taking care of business behind the scenes at the Silver Moon Inn.

Alexander Camael Woods (Terra Nephilim): He hasn't been out lately.

Alexander Camael Woods (Emerald Mirror): No, this isn't a duplicate entry. There's another Alexander Camael Woods running around. He poked his nose into the MT and met Mesteno and Rei.

Anna (AriannaRavenwood): Still no change here, the blue sister, along with her husband Galen (Galen Ravenwood) and son Brion, is content to remain at present at her husband's clan lands with her twin sister and her immediate family.

Ariana (ArianaMacGyldren): The green sister, along with her husband Galen (Galen MacGyldren) and daughter Elaine (Elaine Aqua), still resides at her husband and brother in law's clan lands. She continues to worry about her one heartson Neko (Jibudoka Neko) because there's been no word since his last letter detailing orc battles. Other than working at the bakery and refusing to deliver pastries for a certain tender's shift, the green sister still is in private mourning and is planning to avenge her son's murder.

Auggy (TSgtBenson): Auggy has been swamped with work lately. He has locked himself in his workshop several times over the past few weeks but he refuses to tell anyone what he's doing.

Bromaugher The Dimunitive (Bromaugher): A large bear of a man was spotted tussling with an orc alongside Thorm. Despite his moniker, this man dwarfs everyone's favorite vikingr. The vikingr and the ursine traveler seem to have hit it off. They share a hatred of orcs. This could be the beginning of a beautiful [and bloody] friendship.

Carver Mephisto (Carver Mephisto): The Butcher of Old Detroit is still wanted for various murders as well as the Tablesetter murders. Anyone with information about this fugitive from justice are urged to contact authorities immediately. Do not approach or attempt to apprehend this man. Several law enforcement agencies classify Mephisto as the most dangerous man in Rhydin.

Chasz Harvey (Chasz Harvey ): Chasz has been busy purchasing equipment and grooming trails for Blackjack Adventures.

Damon Waters (Damon Waters): The mysterious janitor has been seen around Rhydin lately.

Deputy Marshall Wynter (Rachael Wynter): The scarred law woman in black still investigates various crime sprees, including a recent series of muggings in the slum areas. Rachael is currently investigating the murder of one Larry "Grabber" Nelson, the kidnapping of one Irina Braeden (Irina Braeden) and the alleged assault of Morgan Knight at the Silver Moon Inn on April 6th. She's frustrated in her investigations because to date no one's come forward with any information.

Dechirant and Fayalki Wynter (Dechirant, Fayalki):Fayalki and Dey stopped in the Silver Moon and chatted with Cadence for a bit this week. They met Cadence at their Spring Party, and they were very glad to have this chance to talk with her again.

Dey's happy that the best frog hunting/creek wading season is starting now, and has already lost a pair of moccasins in the process.

Doctor Maranya Tatiana Valkonan (Maranya Valkonan): She's tending to her patients as usual, including one of the tenders at the Silver Moon Inn. The good Doctor continues to spend time volunteering her medical services at a local free clinic and continues to consult with Doctor Jacobs about a mutual patient. Maranya has currently locked herself up in her laboratory with regards to certain medical experiments, though she is taking time to personally supervise the landscaping on her ranch again, now that spring is here.

Elaine (Elaine Aqua): Elaine has absolutely stopped making cinnamon rolls and continues to work really hard on her studies. She wants to make her Ma, Da and Unca Don (Donatelio Harada) proud of her and doesn't want Missus Carmichael (MissusCarmichael) mad at her at all! She still misses her brother Banshee (Banshee Aqua) and really truly doesn't believe he's truly gone.

Emmy (Empress Grayfur): Lately the Empress Emerald of Grayfur has been spending her time sunbathing on Elaine's open school books and daydreaming of what could be. She has expressed in intense interest in desiring to prowl and has been seen less and less at home over the past couple of weeks.

Erasimus Greene (PersistanceTime): There is still no news on the crazy gnome.

Irina Braeden (Irina Braeden): In this week's installment, Irina's still on paid vacation from Blackjack Adventures, made a few new friends, staying at the Moon or Northedge, studying Spanish and First Aid, remodeling the house she bought with her boyfriend Auggy, encountered a weird hooded person, reunited with her Uncle Tris, still didn't catch the viruses out there yet!, hits the local inns most every night and yet she still finds time to work on the next issue of Bright Suns. All in all, a pretty typical week for this native Rhydin resident. Stay tuned.

Jack Bishop (Jackrabbit Blue): Bunnyboy returned to Rhy'Din to resume his duties working on Dr. Valkonan's ranch. He hasn't been out and about in quite some time. With spring in the air, he has been kept quite busy tending to landscaping. He has big plans on the restructuring of Doc 'Anya's lands.

Jack Rico (Acez over EightsBlue): Rico has found himself a waterdog. He is still looking for an assistant waterdog. The beach office of BJA has been rebuilt and is almost ready to open. With the weather heating up, Rico is looking forward to a prosperous season at the beach office.

Joker (SMI Joker, Richard D Harker): The flirtatious bartender for the Silver Moon Inn has recently been picking up more overtime pay tending bar. He's keeping an eye on his younger brother Nige (Peter N Harker) and has been heard making threats to kill a mysterious Him. Joker is currently under the expert medical care of the Valkyrie (Maranya Valkonan).

Jules (Jules Braeden): She is still looking for that perfect gift for her sister and her fiance.

Kakabel (Framework Memento): Oh where, oh where has Kakabel gone? Oh where, oh where could he be?

Melly (Melanie Wyndham): Will the shy relief baker and counter help at Ariana's Divine Delights Bakery ever tend bar at the Silver Moon Inn? The world may never know.

Mer Harris (Heavy Metal Mer): Mer celebrated her 30th birthday this past Friday in a quiet celebration at home. She's been doing a lot of digging recently, data retrieval. And is teaching her godson about pistols.

Mervyn (Vicious Mervyn): Still relentlessly guarding the till at the Silver Moon Inn.

Mesteno (Bronze Mesteno): It's been reported that a rather angry sadist was seen twice in the dock vicinity this week, once alongside Mer paying a visit to a brothel, and once with a certain heretic...also at the brothel. Bad news came in the unusual form of a monk, and he was also savagely attacked by a Mousp - a savage little mouse-wasp that was later joined by the rest of its swarm in a raid on the Medieval Tavern.

Miguel (Rev Diablo):Miguel has been running the dojo while Rev has dealt with the local mob problem. With matters settled, the dojo has reopened and Miguel has been left in charge. He is also preparing for the Rhydin Galactic Championships where he will compete in free fighting, weapons, forms, musical forms, and self-defense demonstration. Let's all wish Miguel luck as he prepares for this prestigious tournament.

Mozart (Amadeus Felidae): Plots are still in the works to put that strange human invader in his place. He is currently biding his time.

Nigel Harker (Peter N Harker): Nige has been upsetting his eldest brother lately. Some things have been said recently and they have yet to be investigated. If the things Nige says are true, our beloved Joker may soon be guilty of patricide.

Parhi Grimjaws (The Multifarious): Parhi is keeping Mallora company at the Divine Delights Bakery.

Random Myrcandis (Phoenix Nocturne): Random is definitely not a happy or sane halfbreed. Not at all.

Rei (Amethyst Starfall): He is upset with the fact that his mother keeps getting into trouble. He has recently taken the advice of Mer and is keeping a low profile, but it grates on him. Also, he has started firearm lessons.

Robin (Robin Kalahola): Robin has been hired as the watersports coordinator/instructor for Blackjack Adventures.

Salvador (PeculiarSilence):The strange boy has not been seen in weeks outside of his home and personal studies. He continues his private lessons with Professor Harada in learning English as a second language in hopes of attending Northedge full time. Due to his quick learning abilities, it is rumored that he might be able to attend as a Freshman in the high school curriculum. Aside from his studies at the academy, he has mentioned something to his father about lessons under the tutelage of a Professor Wanwa. Though what he may be studying under her teachings remains a mystery. On top of all of this, he has been spending a great deal of time engaged in staring contests with a particular black and white tuxedo cat. Mozart isn't the only one making plans and biding his time.

Tomas Dante Diablo (Rev Diablo, Revered Tengu):Rev has headed off on a retreat with Cadence. Those needing to contact Rev can do so through Miguel (Rev Diabio).

Twelve (The Multifarious): The troll-kin has been a huge green blur this last week, chasing signs of gremlins hither and thither. He thought he found the wizard's crystal ball serving as the cornerstone of the Temple of Glass, but sadly was mistaken. Even more sadly, he didn't figure it out until he had removed the cornerstone for closer examination. After some scrying of their own, the Glazed Supplicants sent a huge bill to Twelve's creator, Cryptopakolips the Unseasoned, for rebuilding. Twelve, in the meantime, continues his search.

Vadriel (Vadriel de Guise): The ex-priest has been out and about again, repairing Sin's damaged ear and taking control of the Mousp problem. He was also sighted at a brothel by the docks with a group of hookers who seemed decidedly stunned at being sober, drugs free and suddenly lacking in ailments.

Ynik (The Multifarious): The Trandoshan Jedi was spotted heading in a southerly direction last week. Seems he's going for even warmer surroundings.

Zelphina (XZeIphina): Still missing.
