Rhydin gossips are whispering about the fight on the remote beach yesterday between two Vikings. Seems there was a great gathering around the two men and some near fights among witnesses as well. One man died in the fight, but rumours fly both ways. Only those present know the truth of who it was, so ask them about it if you would know. Ahriman (TheAngraMaiynu): He was nearly finished with his project when some force came along and stole it. He is most displeased and is quietly working now on doing some damage control.

Aldous the Axe (SMI Axe): The mysterious right hand to Management has gone back to taking care of business behind the scenes at the Silver Moon Inn.

Alexander Camael Woods (Terra Nephilim): After a night of earth-elemental insanity, Alex emerged from the Valkonan lab to confirm a horrible truth -- he does indeed have a clone, with only minor variances in appearence. But surprisingly, Alex and Alexander got along quite well!

Alexander Camael Woods (Emerald Mirror): Not that he's normally willing to complain, but Alexander is tempted to call this the worst week of his life. Sure, he's gone out, met people, and made friends, but he's also irritated one of his best friends as well. Rei (AmethystStarfall) thinks he's doing drugs, when in reality he's been a test subject for a local science firm for as long as he can remember. It's not a happy topic with the young nephilim. Either of them. He helped Irina and Rei take care of Cheriour when something attacked him at the Silver Moon, met Melarrna (and they hit it off quite well), and even met Zohak over the weekend. The span of time between Friday night and Saturday morning was the worst, though, when the Archangel Camael (Emerald Nimbus) appeared at the Rambling Rose Tavern and all but ordered Alexander to come with him, stating that nephilim weren't allowed on Earth. The archangel also boasted of slaying Alexander's father and absorbing the 'demon's' essence. Afraid but undaunted, he took Rose and Seamus' help in escaping out the back way, so he and Irina could take her jet bike to the Silver Moon. Neither of them expected the Archangel to catch them, but Alexander barely managed to fend Camael off. Unfortunately, he is expected to return.

Anna (AriannaRavenwood): Still no change here, the blue sister, along with her husband Galen (Galen Ravenwood) and son Brion, is content to remain at present at her husband's clan lands with her twin sister and her immediate family.

Ariana (ArianaMacGyldren): The green sister, along with her husband Galen (Galen MacGyldren) and daughter Elaine (Elaine Aqua), still resides at her husband and brother in law's clan lands. She continues to worry about her one heartson Neko (Jibudoka Neko) because there's been no word since his last letter detailing orc battles. Other than working at the bakery and refusing to deliver pastries for a certain tender's shift, the green sister still is in private mourning and is planning to avenge her son's murder.

Auggy (TSgtBenson): Auggy has been spending his free time with his girlfriend Irina (Irina Braeden).

Bromaugher The Dimunitive (Bromaugher): No reported sightings this week.

Calypso (Lady Proudfoot): She is still entertaining her adoring public.

Carmine (Taciturn Merc, SMI Carmine): He is currently hunting down a very disturbed individual that insists on squatting in the SMI, but so far has remained one step ahead of him. He will not give up until he has collected all the back pay.

Carolyn Valkonan (DreamsinBurgundy): She hasn't been out much, but there was a bit of trouble at home, when Alex (Terra Nephilim)'s elementals went mad, and she had the task of calming both them AND him. Turns out that there's another Alex running around, and he was under attack. Now she's doing research on angels. And ways to bind them...

Carver Mephisto (Carver Mephisto): The Butcher of Old Detroit is still wanted for various murders as well as the Tablesetter murders. Anyone with information about this fugitive from justice are urged to contact authorities immediately. Do not approach or attempt to apprehend this man. Several law enforcement agencies classify Mephisto as the most dangerous man in Rhydin.

Chase LeMonde (Chase LeMonde): The Marshall has been on LOA for a number of weeks now and has kept out of the public eye.

Chasz Harvey (Chasz Harvey ): Chasz has been busy purchasing equipment and grooming trails for Blackjack Adventures.

Cryptopakolips the Unseasoned (The Multifarious): Pako finally had a little sit-down with Ariana, during which he explained that a 'good will' commission he took on didn't work out very well. Specifically, a man wanted a pair of hands grafted onto his own severed wrists. Pako did this without qualm, only to find that the man in question suddenly demonstrated vast supernatural power of an ancient potency. It was he who drove the Fleshtender from his tower, and now Pako is dependent upon Ariana's good favor for survival. Fortunately, he managed to get Twelve's goodwill, and brought Ariana some potentially useful news as well. So now he is staying in the Silver Moon, at least for a little while.

Damon Waters (Damon Waters): The mysterious janitor has been seen around Rhydin lately.

Deputy Marshall Wynter (Rachael Wynter): The scarred law woman in black still investigates various crime sprees, including a recent series of muggings in the slum areas. Rachael is currently investigating the murder of one Larry "Grabber" Nelson, the kidnapping of one Irina Braeden (Irina Braeden) and the alleged assault of Morgan Knight at the Silver Moon Inn on April 6th. She's frustrated in her investigations because to date no one's come forward with any information. The deputy recently encountered the Marshall (Chase LeMonde) and the woman with him (Adrienne LaCroix) at the SMI during her nightly rounds.

Doctor Maranya Tatiana Valkonan (Maranya Valkonan): She's tending to her patients as usual, including one of the tenders at the Silver Moon Inn. The good Doctor continues to spend time volunteering her medical services at a local free clinic and continues to consult with Doctor Jacobs about a mutual patient. Maranya has currently locked herself up in her laboratory with regards to certain medical experiments, though she is taking time to personally supervise the landscaping on her ranch again, now that spring is here.

Drake Valkonan (Drake Valkonan):The Scientist has been laid up for a long time with an unspecified ailment, only recently emerging -- and when he did emerge, it was to chase down Alexander Camael Woods -- and *not* the one he was watching...

Elaine (Elaine Aqua): Elaine has absolutely stopped making cinnamon rolls and is glad that school's finally out for the summer! She still misses her brother Banshee (Banshee Aqua) and really truly doesn't believe he's truly gone.

Emmy (Empress Grayfur): Lately the Empress Emerald of Grayfur has expressed an intense interest in desiring to prowl and has been seen less and less at home over the past couple of weeks.

Erasimus Greene (PersistanceTime): There is still no news on the crazy gnome.

Guthorm (Guthorm Othinsson): After over a year of stealthy ambushes by men paid by Freystyr's gold, Guthorm finally found and pinned his bror down yesterday for the fight to the death on the strand that would determine who would head the family and claim the ancestral lands back in Hafrsfjord, Norway. There were many there in the mist of the morning to form the ring, to witness both men. Guthorm had asked several friends to come for witnessing in case testimony before the Althing was needed in Norway. Witnessing for Guthorm were Ariana MacGyldren, Dechirant, FaeOfChaos, Fayalki, Maggie Benedict, Rev Diablo and Shylah Vulpecula, along with Guthorm's father, Mytrh; his friend, Finn McEwan; and his woman, Æthelstan. It was a long and bloody and brutal fight. The one who died there on the strand died quickly in the end. The one who lived was badly wounded. It is yet to be determined if he will survive his injuries.

Irina Braeden (Irina Braeden): In this week's installment, Irina's back to work at Blackjack Adventures, made a few new friends, staying at the Moon or Northedge, spending her free time with her boyfriend Auggy, finished school for the semester, remodeling the house she bought with Auggy, faced down an archangel out to kidnap a friend, spent time with her sister Jules, still didn't catch the viruses out there yet!, hits the local inns most every night and has currently suspended work on the next issue of Bright Suns. All in all, a pretty typical week for this native Rhydin resident. Stay tuned.

Jack Rico (Acez over EightsBlue): Rico has found himself a waterdog. He is still looking for an assistant waterdog. The beach office of BJA has been rebuilt and is going to be opening up this week. With the weather heating up, Rico is looking forward to a prosperous season at the beach office.

Joker (SMI Joker, Richard D Harker): The flirtatious bartender for the Silver Moon Inn has recently been picking up more overtime pay tending bar. He's keeping an eye on his younger brother Nige (Peter N Harker) and has been heard making threats to kill a mysterious Him. Joker is currently under the expert medical care of the Valkyrie (Maranya Valkonan).

Jules (Jules Braeden): She is continuing to look for that perfect gift. She recently went out on a date with a man named Jim that shares her taste in motorcycles. They had a good time, but so far agree that it is best just to be friends and nothing more than that.

Kakabel (Framework Memento): Oh where, oh where has Kakabel gone? Oh where, oh where could he be?

Lila Starfire (Lila Starfire): Last week, she'd been assaulted by a former co-worker. This week, she gets told to take the week off. At least it's paid vacation. Tuesday saw a photo shoot for her modeling job at the dojo where Morgan Knight's mentor works. Awkwardness all around! Not to mention the army that showed up that evening at the local watering hole she frequents in Rhy'Din. Can life get any stranger? Apparently it can, because things were going well in her so-called love life until Friday when Morgan abruptly called things off--but they still went to visit her parents' farm in rural Pennsylvania on Saturday. She just wishes someone would explain it all to her!

Mallora (Ma11ora): She, along with her daughter Valleana, will be out of town for the next few weeks.

Matakhat Cain (Matakhat Cain ): Cat's been busy getting ready for graduation, reciting over and over again the speech she has to give as salutatorian. Her jubilation for the upcoming event interrupted at finding out that Stephen has been being trained by the Haradas for their other line of work, those dangerous missions that Cat has learned she cannot ask about. It's a matter of accepting something she doesn't like and cannot change. Having dealt with the news badly at first, but with some advice from Rose, she's "pretending" to be all right with it so it's easier on everyone.

Next year onto the College of Central Rhydin. She's learning towards majoring in Education and following in the footsteps of her guardians as teachers.

Melly (Melanie Wyndham): Will the shy relief baker and counter help at Ariana's Divine Delights Bakery ever tend bar at the Silver Moon Inn? The world may never know.

Mer Harris (Heavy Metal Mer): The Virtual Adept spent a fairly quiet week at home. Of course, a quiet week for her is one with no gunfire. Presumably she is still working on paper trails...

Mervyn (Vicious Mervyn): Still relentlessly guarding the till at the Silver Moon Inn.

Mesteno (Bronze Mesteno): Has been missing for most of the week! After a brief appearance on Monday during which he let it be known he was off to take care of some "rats", he hasn't been seen again. The lucky sadist walked himself into a trap and much to his annoyance, got kidnapped for blackmail purposes.

Miguel (Rev Diablo): Miguel has been running the dojo while Rev has dealt with the local mob problem. With matters settled, the dojo has reopened and Miguel has been left in charge. He is also preparing for the Rhydin Galactic Championships where he will compete in free fighting, weapons, forms, musical forms, and self-defense demonstration. Let's all wish Miguel luck as he prepares for this prestigious tournament.

Mithril/Gadreel/Lusus (ASaintofSinners): Now that he is back in town and has taken care of some pressing matters, it is time for a vacation. He has taken off for points unknown and has left no forwarding address. His pager has been left home, his cellphone is switched off, and he is ignoring all emails.

Morgan Knight (Morgan Rampage): After a long, hard week of relaying threatening messages, failing to help heart-family, and romantic misunderstandings, Morgan's finally thrown in the towel, or so it seems. He's avowed "never to open his heart again" or something equally melodramatic that one would expect from him. He's just returning from visiting Lila Starfire's farm-home.

Mozart (Amadeus Felidae): Plots are still in the works to put that strange human invader in his place. He is currently biding his time.

Nigel Harker (Peter N Harker): Nige has been upsetting his eldest brother lately. Some things have been said recently and they have yet to be investigated. If the things Nige says are true, our beloved Joker may soon be guilty of patricide.

Orion Ksyhsravor (Orion Ksyhsravor ): The cyborg Jedi has more frequently been seen with Heavy Metal, and some people might even think the two were becoming an item. However, he's not been around much. Missions, you know.

Parhi Grimjaws (The Multifarious): Parhi has surfaced, just to gripe about the bounty on her head. It's finally been rescinded, but it is unclear whether the bounty hunters know this yet. Meanwhile, she continues to show signs of increasing callousness and hubris. On several occasions, she has been known to neglect to bless her food, and speaks even less than usual. This all goes way beyond her usual laid-back self; it's almost as if, in studying her draconic ancestry, she has made herself more like the 'dark' Parhi whose soul she absorbed last year.

Pleione (Stellar Balinese): What!? No missing cat posters!?

Ramiel (Ember Shade): He looked over his journal this week. He's a bit disturbed at the fact that he's losing, or has lost, so much of his memory, and has come to a decision to 'not waste time', whatever that may mean.

Random Myrcandis (Phoenix Nocturne): No news isn't good news. It's likely all Cat (Ashadow0fme) can do to keep the pieces of this shattered soul together. Which is why he hasn't been seen around Rhy'Din much.

Rei (Amethyst Starfall): Rei is worried about Alex, but has agreed to back off a little. He will do so for now. He is currently researching various theologies on star goddesses to use as a disguise so that he can help out his mother. Right now he is trying to lay low.

Robin (Robin Kalahola): Robin has been hired as the watersports coordinator/instructor for Blackjack Adventures.

Seamus and Rose (Seamus Wyllie, A Stray Rose): See this week's Headlines

Stephen Valkonan (Stephen Valkonan): Work called him away at week's end. What work? That information is classified. He was, however, present at the graduation of Matakhat Cain, with a dozen white roses as a gift. Never mind his grim visage and taciturnity.

Suliss'urn (AShadow0fMe): Still no news on the whereabouts of the abducted drowess.

Terrance Tomar-Duncan (Terrance Tomar): Terrance has been scarce this week, but his Corvette was spotted a couple of times earlier this week at various motorbike dealerships. Could it be that the nerds-on-bikes phenomenon is contagious?

The Archangel Camael (Emerald Nimbus): The Archangel of Joy returned once again to Rhydin. The Will of Heaven was made clear to him; as in ancient times on Earth, no nephilim shall be allowed to walk terrestrial soil. Seeking out his dead counterpart's son (unknowing that the son he found was in truth a clone), he bade Alexander Camael Woods (Emerald Mirror) to accompany him -- yet found himself thwarted by an Tavern full of heathens and unbelievers. He later struck at the nephilim, but failed to take him back. He waits now, in Heaven, biding his time for the next motion.

Tomas Dante Diablo (Rev Diablo, Revered Tengu):Rev is still off on a retreat with Cadence. Those needing to contact Rev can do so through Miguel (Rev Diabio).

Twelve (The Multifarious): Sometime ago, Twelve engaged a group of orcs - quite possibly from the same tribe that was raiding the outskirts of Rhydin - when he lost an arm. It was chopped off by a flaming sword, and thus didn't regrow as usual. He won the fight, but wandered into the SMI with only two and half arms instead of three and a half. With the help of Toho, he managed to get rid of the remaining stump, then replaced his arm the grikkyn way - by biting off his remaining arm on the left side, letting it partially regrow, then biting off the new arm and sticking both the new and the old arms back onto the bleeding stump. They regenerated into place, so now Twelve is back to his old self. Irina, Toho, and other bystanders were grossed out and partially deafened as a result of this ritual and the attendant howl of pain. Twelve presently carries a small grudge against Orcs with fire, but unless he gets burned again it probably won't last.

Vadriel (Vadriel de Guise): Has been working as normal, and following the progress of a sadist and a bookworm via the spirit loop to assist if necessary.

Ynik (): In a faraway place, far outside the city limits of Rhydin, secluded in a desolate wasteland, the Trandoshan Jedi carefully assembles an intricate mechanism, a puzzle old even in his bygone day, intoning the archaic verse:

"The crystal is the heart of the blade.

The heart is the crystal of the Jedi.

The Jedi is the crystal of the Force.

The Force is the blade of the heart.

All are intertwined. The crystal. The blade. The Jedi. All are one.

And thus, the circle is complete."

Zohak (ABafflingEnigma): He has recently been brought into existence and seems to be doing well. So far he has discovered that toilet paper makes for a very good arts and crafts medium.
