Dragon's Mark Celebrates Four Year Anniversary |

This may be the longest subject line for a news post yet! But it is well worth the length. In an announcement made by site administrator Panther late last evening, the Dragon's Mark community commemorates is four year Belated Anniversarry.... Better late than never, and what an achievement! I wonder if anyone ever believed this little slice of role-playing heaven would ever last this long! I have much to say on this matter, so do please click the little right pointing arrow to read more!
The announcement made on the Dragon's Mark forums themselves is not as full of confetti and streamers as we may like it to be, but it is still worth the mentioning. As Panther states: "6/20/2005... the little dragon came out of it's shell and Dragon's Mark was born." Four very long years ago the RDI Community began anew, having mostly moved from the more confining walls of AOL to a wider and more expansive self-perpetuating universe that continues to grow to this day.
At last count, as of the writing of this article, Dragon's Mark has, in those four years, accumulated a grand total of 10,285 registered users! That's 10,285 individual usernames! 10,285 individual characters! I'm sure we all know that this does not necessarily mean there are 10,285 individual people who participate in role-play on the site, but if you ask me that number is still staggering.
Additionally, the standard Dragon's Mark forums have accumulated a total of 16,041 articles on their OOC forums over the past four years. The Red Dragon Inn @ Dragon's Mark forums have accumulated a total of 93,609 articles in that time as well. That's a lot of posting going on, and can you believe they've nearly reached the hundred thousand dollar mark!? If the statistics continue to climb as steadily as reported by administrator Xenograg, it will only be a short matter of time.
"I know it sounds cliche," states Panther, "but DM has grown beyond my dreams, and it's cause of all of you." Everyone that has supported Dragon's Mark through all these four long years deserves a grand round of applause. Though some of us here at Mutual Endeavors may not have been there with you from the beginning, Dragon's Mark, we're still applauding you here. Happy Anniversary! And may there be many more years to celebrate in your future!
