In case anyone missed it, or if I failed to mention it in the last newsletter, this is just a general reminder that deadlines for any Ubique's submissions intended to be included in the February issue end on the 30th of this month. That gives everyone four more days yet to send me any news they want to see included in the next newsletter. Please do not disappoint me and please do not wait until the very last minute. Some ideas of information we currently need...
Having a whole month to work on the newsletter is certainly a blessing in disguise. I've been able to steadily work on sections, adding in new things as they come to me. Though I must admit that very little content has been sent in as of yet. Need to take a moment to send in some thanks to Mike. He recently tested our UM submission form. As it stands now, I don't think I'm 100% satisfied with how it's set up. If it was I'd put a link to it direct on the front of the site. That's one of those things in my list of to-do's that definitely needs worked on. You are all still free to use it, if you can find the link to it. To be honest I forget what news item it's sitting in right now. Though, I much prefer that you all stick to the standard e-mail submission tactic for now. Hopefully by March I'll have it all worked out and set up the way I want. But yes. Some ideas for things that we need if anyone cares to put their brain to work before the end of the month. We definitely, absolutely, always need character updates. Review our Ubiquitous FAQs on what is expected for that. There is a limit. I prefer that character news be summarized down to no more than ten sentences. Five sentences is best, but considering this is now a publication covering an entire month I doubt that will be very easy. Headlines! I'm always looking for headlines. That's the This Just In section of the newsletter. We mostly get character news, but so rarely get storyline news coverage. It would be nice to see more than one or two headlines listed. Come on people. January is a big month. I know you have something to share! Any announcements that have not already been sent in. I've already completed that section, but that doesn't mean I won't accept more. Are there any character or player birthdays in the month of February that you'd like people to know about? I'd like to know about them. Please share! Advertisements! We could probably use some of those as well. Again, review our Ubiquitous FAQs to find out more about what it acceptable and what is not. Certainly there is something to solicit that has not already been solicited before somewhere. Four days, my friends. Please, oh please do not wait for the last possible minute. The few big section assignments I have handed out are okay, though. Those are certain deadlines that I will accept exactly on the 30th. If 31 gets here, don't panic. I will still accept last minute submissions. Anything beyond 11:00 PM on that day, however, likely will not make it into the next issue. Copying and pasting and formatting can be a chore. Getting anxious here. Really looking forward to seeing what everybody has to share. Really excited about publishing the next issue of Ubique's Monthly. I also really hope that everybody else is just as giddy as I am about this revitalized mutual endeavor.
