The Ubique's Guidebook PDF Print E-mail

Well, it seems the 100th Issue of Ubique's fell off the front page.  Not to worry, though.  It can still be located under the Ubique's Monthly section of our site.  It just won't be drawing quite as much attention, because I bumped it off the latest news list by writing so many new FAQs.  The excess of links in this paragraph making you dizzy yet?  Sorry about that too, but I have a lot of explaining to do. Since the newsletter has been reborn as a monthly publication, I've been very excited about what it will have to offer in the future.  This gives me a lot more time to work on compiling everything and putting it all together before publication.  It gives me time to relax and enjoy role-playing, but to be honest I have done very little of that lately.

For the first week and a half I have been busy sorting my thoughts and putting together a plan.  January is proving to be a month that is keeping me on my toes, but my thoughts have not been any more clearly focussed in a long time.  This excites me.

If you look in our FAQs section, you will see that the Newsletter FAQs have grown quite significantly.  Over the past two days I have been working hard at writing new ones to further explain each section of the newsletter in more precise detail.  These articles include proper formatting procedure and what I expect to see in submissions.  It's starting to earn the nickname the Ubique's Guidebook, and I hope that all you collaborators out there find the information provided to be very useful.

Additionally today, I am starting a new poll that will run until January 19th.  Our members have nominated five names for next month's Character Spotlight.  I want the poll to end early so that the reporter who volunteered to do the interviewing and writing of the CS article has at least a week and a half to work on it.  The more time we have for our deadlines the better.

Speaking of deadlines, I'm presenting one to all of you, and that reminds me that I'll need to write a new FAQ after this.  All submissions for inclusion into the next monthly issue of Ubique's are expected no later than January 30th.  Though again, please do not wait until the very last minute to send me your news.  I really don't want to have to be working overtime.  Again.

One of my biggest problems with compiling and publishing this newsletter is the overabundance of last minute submissions I receive.  Everybody loves to procrastinate.  Even me.  But now I'm begging you to please not do this.  The sooner you send me news the better.  If I can work on the sections bit by bit and piece by piece every day, I'll be a much happier camper, and your next newsletter will be far prettier than it has ever been before.  You want Ubique's to be pretty, don't you?  Yeah.  So do I.

All right.  That's enough rambling out of me.  Vote on the poll.  Send us news.  Don't be shy.  The Ubique's Guidebook was written solely for all of you.  Make use of it.  Knowledge is power, and communication is the key to greatly successful role-playing.  Don't forget that.
