By popular vote, it is decided! Two weeks ago I started a poll as to whether or not we should change Ubique's over from a weekly newsletter to a monthly one. Since that time, the poll has received a total of sixteen votes. God only knows how many of those were a repeat performance, but my thanks goes out to all of you who took the time to voice your opinions on the matter.
With a huge margin of 81.3% to 18.8%, it looks like we'll be changing the name and organization of the newsletter in the future. For better or for worse? I cannot yet say. All I know for certain is that the times are changing, and the only way Ubique's is going to survive is if we change with them.
I know this comes as late notice, but it took me this long to firmly resolve myself on the decision. Starting January 1, 2008 (tomorrow), Ubique's will be reborn from a weekly publication to a monthly one. This transition is not expected to be easy, but we're going to give it a shot. I've had some ideas regarding precisely how to handle each new issue in the future, but those can wait to be revealed in our first revised issue. That is, of course, providing I am not too hung over from the New Year's celebrations.
If all goes well and according to plan, there will be a brand new issue up on this site tomorrow for all our members and visitors to read! We'll be breaking in the new year and our 100th issue with a new name and a new look. So stay tuned. Ubique's Monthly is on its way!
