Hey, SM. We hear you say this all the time. What does it mean? What IS the spirit of Mutual Endeavors? It's true that I do say that rather frequently. This or that thing is or isn't true to the spirit of Mutual Endeavors. By now you've read our mission statement explaining who we are and our purpose explaining what we're all about. But the true spirit of Mutual Endeavors goes beyond the simplest common sense issues of good communication skills making for successful role-play experiences. If at any point in your childhood you ever held your hand over your heart, stood before the American flag, and pledged your allegience to the United States of America, then you're already one step ahead of understanding the true spirit of working together for a great cause. If you ever were, or know anyone else who ever was, a veteran of any war, then you're closer to understanding what I mean than likely even I do. Mutual Endeavors embraces democracy. A vast majority of our members are true-blooded Americans who were born and raised under the protection of those noble stars and stripes. We are the absence of hereditary or arbitrary class distinctions or privileges. We are by the people for the people, created in the same spirit as The Declaration of Independence and The Bill of Rights, particularly the first amendment that supports an individual's freedom of speech as it applies here, on the Internet. Mutual Endeavors, essentially, is freedom. Here you are free to be who you are, whoever you so choose to be. You are free to speak your mind. We are not here to impress anyone. We are here to cast off our shackles, to let the world see us for who we really are: role-players, people, individuals, and proud of it!
