Dear, Readers. I want you to understand something. The title of an article I might write and publish to this site is not a command or an exhortion of any kind. The articles posted on this site are merely the presentation of journalistic liberties. They are collections of information being reported from one source, the person who wrote them, to you, whoever it is that may be reading them. In some cases, these articles may be opinionated. This does not mean you have to agree with them.
As a matter of fact, it would not be true to the spirit of Mutual Endeavors if you did agree with everything I, or anyone else, ever said or wrote. We are all individuals. We are all unique people with our very own differing thoughts and opinions. Despite popular theory, I actually encourage people to tell me off and stuff a sock in it. Or do as Mel did in response to my previous article "Pick and Choose." Tell me you disagree with me and cannot support what I wrote. That's perfectly fine.
You are entitled to your own opinions as much as I am mine! The vast majority of us are born and raised bonefide Americans. We exist in a country that gives us all the right to freedom of speech. The freedom to argue. The freedom to love. The freedom to do and say practically anything we want. Except in Jonesboro, Georgia, where it is in fact illegal to say "Oh, Boy!" Provided it does not deviate from a universally understood moral code. Such as murder. We all know that's bad.
The Bitch Fest board was created for a reason. Just because I'm an administrator here doesn't mean you should be afraid of me. I've had several people call me out before. If you have a problem with me personally, go ahead and tell me. I'm a big girl. I can take it. I might chew your head off if you chew off mine, but that's the way of things. If I don't know there's a problem, there really isn't anything I can do to fix it now is there.
There are, of course, several other ways to get in contact with me. I have them listed practically everywhere on this site, and just about everywhere else on the Internet that I'm a part of. Considering the fact that I have not received any hate mail, I can only assume that there are no problems and nobody actually hates me after all. Except, of course, the administrators at the RhydinWiki, who have made it abundantly clear that I'm not allowed to have an outside opinion of my own that might someday cha-- oops.
Listen, though. What I say and what I do are not always the same thing. I may say I absolutely hate this or that or the other thing. That does not mean I'm going to grab up my carton of eggs and package of toilet paper and go bomb the neighbor's house. I'll usually just pretend the neighbor doesn't exist. Don't take my word for it, though. I mean, god. I couldn't possibly be telling the truth, could I?
So. Before I turn this into another potential you suck article, I had a thought the other night. Since we are all inviduals with our own personal opinions. Our own style of play and writing. News we might want to report on our own. I have the ability, I think (Mel should be able to confirm this for me), to promote people from simple member status to author status. Which should, if I'm understanding the system better, allow you to write your own news articles. And if I make you a publisher, then you can publish them on the front page all by yourselves!
Would anyone be interested in expressing their freedom of speech and displaying their journalistic liberties? Last update: 17-12-2007 08:22
