For the longest time there, the vote on the Name Our Room contest ran neck and neck at a near constant tie. I think at some point people just stopped voting on it. Most of the final decision probably comes down to me and the frequency in which I kept coming back to vote on the one name. At 100 votes, a majority of which probably came from the same people (including me), I think it's time to put this poll to an end and make that final decision.
At an ending total of 44%, our MutualChat has been given a name, and with that name comes an identity. It's a name that makes me think of it as a living, breathing organism. If only we had the coding technology to give our flashchat an AI mind of its own. Wouldn't that be neat? Meet Serendipity. A name meaning "the faculty or phenomenon of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for." A room that might just stand for everything that is Mutual Endeavors and what this organization stands for. The Green Room came in second place with a total of 32 votes. Our good old Stalkers Anonymous lagged behind at 14 votes. Conjecture Junction, while very alliterative, only came in with a total of 6 votes. And in dead last was The Think Tank at only a measly 4 votes. They were all very good names, and it was difficult to decide. But it seems people were mostly leaving it up to me by the end. At a total of 100 votes, I'm shutting the poll down. While I like to have polls up for people to vote on just for fun, I can't think of anything new to toss up in its place. So for a while I regret to say there may not be a poll. Though I'm open to suggestions. Thank you all who took the time, each day or every other day or every few days or whatever, to vote on a name for our room. Treat Serendipity nicely, and maybe some day we'll get all the kinks worked out. I know I keep saying that, and can only apologize so much for the inconvenience. Last update: 10-12-2007 13:29
