The most recent poll I put up did not receive as much attention as I would have liked, but the results ring in the final decision regardless of the mere 10 few votes that were placed. That poll was created in hopes to help me decide what to do about the current state of username registration. Mike informed us that it is possible to change the settings to allow multiple usernames to use the same email address in the global configurations. Based on the results of the poll...
I've decided to change the configuration to allow multiple usernames to be made using the same base email address. 60% of the ten participating voters said that they'd like to use the same email for multiple usernames, so there it is. Not a large margin, but enough of one for me to decide to change the configuration. It would be nice if more people would participate in the polls that are put up. Not all of them are there for the mere fun of it. Some serious issues are covered, such as this last one. Amazes me that people are more likely to vote on silliness than they are on seriousness. But, so be it. Hopefully this decision will also improve the speed in which old posts are moved over from the old, dead proboard and over to the new and improved fully site integrated fireboard. At least those posts that are being considered for transfer. There are some that are better left fizzling out. Which leads me to another issue. Since the Great Redcap Hunt storyline had fizzled out all those months ago, I would like to know what you members think regarding its transfer. Should we leave it on the proboard to forever collect dust? Keep it as an archived item there and not bother to move it over here? Or should it also be copied over here to the Fireboard for viewing? I might make this another poll, just to replace the one concerning usernames and unique emails. Until then, I'll at least throw up an older one, I think. Last update: 15-08-2007 02:51
