Ubique's Weekly

A Mutual Endeavors Publication

Issue #83 ~ 2 June 2007

The Blurb

Hello, readers!  This week I plan to give you the most boring issue of Ubique's Weekly ever!  I'm really not feeling up to my usual blah blah blah ramble at you a lot blah.  There just isn't much to say.  I didn't receive a lot of updates from anyone at all this week.  But you know what?  I'm used to that.  I've given up on caring.  As my good friend DL once told me:

Ehzoterik:  I don't expect miracles out of anybody.
The Multifarious:  Good answer.  Publish what you get is my advice, and don't grumble - when peole realize that this is something they want to be a part of, they'll send material.

Oooh nostalgia!  Those were the good old days.  The days when I a lot of moral support coming at me from the least expected of places.  DL and I don't talk that much anymore, but that's what happens with time.  I said I wasn't going to ramble, right?  Right.  Moving on!

Top Story!

Hey guess what?  I have no awesomely huge story to share with you people this week.  Oh well.

Storyline Spotlight

I also have no information regarding any extravagantly huge storylies going on anywhere.  It helps if people send me updates.  Really.  Still planning on writing something super awesome for the RDI at some point.  Eventually.  Yes!  I'm lazy okay?

This Just In

Absolutely nothing!  I don't feel like repeating myself.  Maybe if I put in nothing this week I can get away with C&Ping exactly what I said last week all over again.  Won't that be fun?  Let's see if anybody notices.

In Other News...

Now onto the craptastically small amount of updates I DID receive for this week.  I figure by the time I've compiled enough of these newsletters, enough people will figure out when I'm expecting updates and be on time and whatnot.  No hurry.  If you don't care, I don't care.

Colleen MacLeod (PrlUnicorn):  Has Collie finally lost her mind or is she in the market for husband number four? She's been seen flirting with several men that are many years her junior; forget years, try centuries!

Dris
(
BardGaIIant)The musician hasn't been seen much recently, but rumor has it he's going to make himself sick on cherries...

Faye: She Who Tends the Dead (Faye Random)Recently spotted at the Rambling Rose Tavern this past week.  Faye was seen in the company of one Sinjin Fai for a brief period of time.  She was also spotted engaging in conversation with a mysterious oriental man by the name of Kin.

Icarus Marcotte (SubtIe Iies): The half-dragon for some reason, recently bought out a cherry farm. Wonder why...

Irina Braeden (Irina Braeden):  What's up with the white blond haired artist behind Bright Suns these days?  Irina has been on two, count them, -two- dates with Tobias (Tobias Garret) this past week and wearing dresses that show off her long legs instead of her favorite pair of ratty jeans when she goes out.   Are things looking up for Irina?  Then again, the Artist is apparently still in the doghouse with Morgan, which restores the cosmic balance the other way.   Stay tuned to find out more.

Penrith Towley (Aversion Toward):  Fiasco!  That entire kidnapping investigation was a fiasco.  Not only is his bondmate all kinds of secretly depressed, but they reached no solution in finding out what happened to the mysteriously missing Sheena.  Now what?

R'cha (Iionpride):  After a difficult evening investigating a kidnapping case, the ghatta has become a bit depressed at her inabilities. Depressed felines don't make very good company!

Renley Killian (A Common Cur)The blind man has been spotted once again skulking around the Rambling Rose Tavern, giving Seamus a hard time.  He has also mentioned that aggravating the barkeep is his favorite past time.  So.

Salvador Delahada (Karmic Venganza):  Well, it was only a matter of time, right?  Seamus had to go and open his big fat mouth and insinutae Salvador should be going by the name of Mrs. Fai.  Suffice it to say, Seamus ended up getting a bottle flung at his head for his troubles. No! Just NO.

Sinjin Fai (Sinjin Fai):  Rumor has it that our sinner is planning a wedding. A wedding that includes strippers, hot fudge, and whip cream-- it certainly sounds like Sin's kind of wedding! Are those wedding bells ringing for the sinner again? Let's hope not.

Obituaries

Nope.  Not gonna do it.  Don't have the strength for it.  Just no creativity left in me.  Tonight is a night for being a complete moron, and morons don't write good obituaries.  Anyone else want to do this for me?  Seriously.  I'm begging.

Classifieds

I have a new one!  Someone sent me a new advertisement!  It's unbelievable!  It's unprecedented!  I think my brain might just explode!  Probably because I have to format it.  Well here we go.

Mutual Endeavors Forum
The freeform role-playing group more commonly known as Mutual Endeavors has moved its storylines and characters to a message board forum for player convenience.  It was decided that it would be beneficial to allow players a less time-restricted venue in which to present their characters' stories and participate interactively.  Not everyone can be online at the same times all the time.  Therefore we opened up this forum to the masses.  If you're interested, registration is completely free and unmoderated.  Check it out!

Mutual Endeavors LJ Community
Before the message board forum was ever considered, another attempt at keeping Mutual Endeavors alive and active was put into motion with the creation of the LiveJournal Community.  If you have a LiveJournal of your own, you are thoroughly encouraged to join our community at any time.  Stay up-to-date and in the loop with our random ramblings and discussions.  Some are held there and others are held on our forum.  Everyone is welcome. Don't be shy!

Rambling Rose Tavern
:  The Rambling Rose Tavern is a bar and grill establishment in town, owned and operated by Seamus Wylie and Katie Rose Wylie.  Stop in and enjoy a drink or a home-style meal, but before you do check out the rules and room description by following this link: http://www.ramblingrosetavern.com.  There are plenty of fun times to be had at the Rambling Rose Tavern!  Don't hesitate to join in on them whenever possible.

Subscribe Now! : Ubique's Weekly is a publication provided by the not-for-profit organization known as Mutual Endeavors.  As a free source of literary entertainment, you as the reader have the liberty to send out copies of our publication to whomever you think might enjoy the information shared.  To save yourselves the hassle of constantly forwarding what you might find amusing, feel free at any time to inform your friends and coconspirators to contact the Editor to request their very own future copies of Ubique's Weekly at no cost to them whatsoever.  It's as simple as clicking this link here above.

Ubique's Archive :  For several years now, the Ink Wire Associates and I have been trying to archive every old issue of Ubique's Weekly onto the internet.  It has been a slow-going process, and I assure you that not every past issue has been completely coded and uploaded to the site.  The work is, to say the least, very tedius.  We're doing the best we can.  In the future, we may also simply move all new issues to the site and do away with a mailing list entirely.  We'll see.  Until such a decision is reached, old news is still news and well worth the read.  Do enjoy.

Announcements

None of these either!  Though it is the day after the first of June.  New month and all that.  I'm still looking for someone to either take her position back up again, or someone to replace her.  I just don't have the patience to keep all these dates and whatnot in order.

Final Thoughts

Super short newsletter!  For the win!  Though it still took me over an hour to compile this thing.  I realized something.  Don't think I rambled about it in the blurb, so here we go.  Did anyone else notice that UW doesn't seem to really have any character to character news information in it?  Yeah.  I noticed.  Maybe the purpose of this newsletter isn't what it used to be.  This all seems to be news by players for players.  A way to bring players together and get storylines to connect or not as you so choose.

That's all I really have to say.  Send me updates!  If you do, I can better continue to be...

Keeping you informed,
--
