Our mission statement can be read in "What is Mutual Endeavors?" But that mission statement may not fully cover the purpose of Mutual Endeavors. We are an organization created by players for players. And by players we mean role-players. As players, we do not gain anything. We are not out to obtain wealth of any sort, be it monetary or otherwise. The only thing we can truly say to gain is acceptance. Our steadfast belief is that role-playing in and of itself is a mutual endeavor. In any venue available, players must cooperate with one another in order to succeed. We wear the masks of our characters and put them into a variety of different stories. Those stories are mutually shared and interracted through by other players and their characters. The only way to keep everything from falling apart into childish arguments and unnecessary name-calling is to remember that role-playing is itself a mutual endeavor. And to keep the dream flowing smoothly, communication is key. Mutual Endeavors is a communication hub, then. It is our duty as role-players to keep our fellow collaborators informed of what is going on in the stories of which characters and where. Our primary objective is to promote role-playing wherever it may be, and to do that we freely distribute and circulate all relative information necessary to keep stories running smoothly and enjoyably. Our goal is not and never will be to create environments in which to play in. We leave that job to the individual players and the communities they create together. Whether those communities be privately owned websites or publicly shared programs, we promote them one and all. Role-playing is a game, and games should fun. We'd rather share our fun than be stuck playing with ourselves. The best way to keep things entertaining, then, is to communicate. And communicating well often leads to friendships that last a lifetime.
