Time out yourself.
I fail to see where I suggested anyone was complaining.

So ... I fail at "GMing", as the case may be. I was supposed to start a thread yesterday. Yes. By now that would be yesterday. Go me for failing.
I'll get to it. A description. A starter thread of some sort. By this point I'm tempted to start us off with "hey, it's a club! woo-ee!" But no. I should really work on a story-born explanation and all that fun stuff. Bear with me. Been a long week.

In case anyone forgot...
Scheduled as an event happening on Thursday, August 9, 2007! based on some room play that happened tonight (July 31, 2007) in the Rambling Rose Tavern, a large group of us are getting together to play a scene where our characters go out clubbing!
I was on long enough to notice that a lot of the people scheduled to be a part of the event were in active play on Thursday night. For the most part, I can assume this is because at least two of them continue to not care about this site and the message boards enough to really take part. But I did say that "the Rose is open on Thursdays from 9-2." Everybody knows this. I didn't want the board game to interfere with live play time.
One potential participant contacted me tonight to say: "Straighten out the clubbing-story confusion so I know who I can play when!"
I thought I covered everything well enough that there would be no confusion. If an absolute time frame MUST be set, then fine... the clubbing incident happened after the Rose "officially closes". After 2 AM.
Why are we making this more difficult than it really needs to be?

Blar.
I tried staying out of the RRT as long as I could that night. But sheer, numbing boredom finally made me poke my character's head in there, around 1:15am on the 10th.
Anyway.
I'm not trying to be difficult, honest.

Val wasn't in play, so anytime is good.

No, no, no. The people who were in play aren't the ones making it difficult. I stated specifically that I didn't want to compete with the Rose being open on Thursday, as it always is from 9-2 on every weekday. Very logically, the clubbing event could take place after the Rose closes.
I'm not yelling at anyone for playing in public! I counted on people playing in public, because if I were online and were bored enough I would be too. I'm not helping by not writing a starter thread, but my inspiration is lost at the moment.

Oookay.
Sorry for the delay. I've been so swamped this week. But I put up a starter post that I hope sets up everything nicely. I'm leaving a lot of freedom for other people to add on to the setting description. The Bank isn't something I set into solid stone. I mean ... I just came up with it on the fly during that day of play last week when everything was arranged. Hopefully this'll get everything started.
Happy posting.

dreamspeaker wrote: Here are the characters who were initially invited last I knew: Sin, Mike, Allen, Irina, Val, Stevi, Stormraven, and Dris (who Sin is supposed to bring along). As well as Jos, that makes nine people. There was a miscalculation, and Jos is booking a "booth" or back room for ten. This leaves one slot open if any characters want to invite someone else. Hint, hint. That is only for the backroom, though.
The scene itself is a club, as previously mentioned. Just because ten people are being invited into an exclusive back room doesn't mean that other characters couldn't happen to be at the club as well. So this isn't exactly a closed storyline.
Hm. With Sin and Val there, Sal might just be lurking about. If I get motivated, I'll post something for him. Mr. Shadowy Lurker Watch People Be Social but Not Interact Man.
