I dub thee: Sir Put Me to Shame
And here I thought I was a good writer.
This could probably be started in the Character Portfolio board, but I'm more praising the writer than the character himself at the moment. Not that Harold doesn't deserve his own little folder up there. In any case. Just wanted to pipe in that I've been reading hungrily, and got up to this point:
From Meandering Thoughts. This is by far probably one of my most favorite lines, ever: "Harry crossed his arms and leaned on the kitchen counter, listening to the coffee pot doing its thing."

::laughs!:: Wow, that's one line I never expected to be anyone's favorite! I'm glad you liked it, though.

It's just so simple and perfect. I think sometimes that people try too hard to be poetic. To describe the way coffee pots burble and click-click-click. And whatever else they do. Everybody's heard a coffee pot before. And since it's not something important in the scene, just a back-drop that Harold's hearing, you explained it perfectly. "Doing its thing." I love it. ^_^

Thank you! And yeah, ninety percent of the world, at least the world that's probably reading this, has heard a coffee pot. I never quite thought of it like that, though. ::chuckles::
