Welcome to the Mutual Endeavors message board forum. Since the beginning, the layout has been altered some to better accomodate accessibility to visitors and members wishing to direct friends to the site to have a look in hopes of them joining the cause.

Mutual Endeavors was officially established some time before August 17, 2003 and made official with the very first issue of the role-player's weekly newsletter known as Ubique's Weekly. The group itself has been going strong for the past four, though the newsletter itself celebrated its final issue on May 17, 2005. The newsletter marked a milestone of cooperative role-play reaching an end of willing participation from members all around. The editor (myself) stopped receiving updates and information from subscribers and we decided to put the newsletter at rest on its 80th and once final issue.

With the failure of the newsletter, few of us at Mutual Endeavors (particularly the Ink Wire Associates) brain-stormed for a while on what to do next. Forseeing the failure of the newsletter, the editor-in-chief decided to try another angle. Thus the Mutual Endeavors LJ Community was born, created on March 17, 2005. I realized that a large number of AOL role-players had personal livejournals (or blogs if you will) and considered the possibility that a community journal might be the next step in keeping the dream of cooperative free-form role-playing alive and flourishing. Much to my dismay, this also proved to be a great failure.

On September 24, 2005 a new idea occurred to me. Through ProBoards, I designed a message board for all Mutual Endeavors members to be proud of. So far, so good. In the beginning, the plan was to make the message board a members only thing. Therefore, visitors (guests) were required to register if they wished to see anything at all. Since then, recent conversations with some of the ME Board Staff have convinced me otherwise. Visitors will notice that they are fully capable of reading at least 90% of the site, and also capable of posting their own comments on at least 10% of it. To fully enjoy the Mutual Endeavors experience, you will need to register for a username. Registration is completely free and unmonitored. The staff does keep an eye on new members, and the administrator (myself) does watch the participation levels.

Then on July 11, 2007 an even newer era for Mutual Endeavors was born. Most of this history can be found throughout the site, but I feel it deserves mentioning here. Proboards became invalid with the creation of the very first ever Official Mutual Endeavors website! Now we have at our disposal a completely integrated one-stop role-player community hub for everyone to enjoy! We opened up a new forum that works with this complete community and hope that thrives as well as if not better than the old ad-plagued proboard.

The only rules that apply are courtesy and respect for your fellow role-players. Anyone we feel who is not acting reasonably and maturely may find their account being removed or abilities revoked. All in all, I feel this is a shining example of a new era for Mutual Endeavors. We're on the path to great things, working together as role-players should. So again I say, welcome. Enjoy your stay.
