About time I found something to break in the new P&P board with. I must admit that I have no idea who you are, HGLowe, but that doesn't really matter. Over all, welcome to Mutual Endeavors! Always glad to see new blood, even if it's secretly old blood that I'm not at all aware of. Shh. It's okay. I like secrets.

Took the time to read Traveled Roads, though, and I must say it's absolutely brilliant. Short and sweet and to the point, and I adore the tone of the piece. Your style dropped me right into the character's head, and I loved it. Looking forward to seeing more, if you ever get around to writing anything.

And by the way: welcome aboard! Please excuse the lameness of my pun. Har dee har. Because one warm welcome is never enough.

Heya Ehzoterik;

Thank you so much for the shout out. And I'm not terribly surprised that very few people knew me on AOL -- my character ran the Maritime Tavern and sometimes roamed around and spent some time in the Medieval, but he was and is a fairly quiet creature. Been around for nine years (six pretty steadily), but never really in a big way. Same SN on AOL as here, though, if anyone wants to see.

Thanks for the welcome too. I was just absolutely thrilled to see this site! I do play on the Dragonsmark site as well, but have always considered AOL to be my RPing home and the RDI to just be a small piece of Rhy'Din, not the whole of it by any stretch. It's wonderful to see the AOL group get a place.

I do have other writing that would likely fit here. Stuff that isn't tied into the RDI/DM site, stuff from my strictly AOL days, etc.

Thanks again for the warm welcome. And thanks to the admins for this site -- it made me feel connected again with the place I love.

THAT puts a smile on my day. Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm very pleased to know that all this work isn't wasted. My job feels complete now. So very glad to have you here. Hope you like it well enough to spread the word to all your friends and role-play neighbors. And I can't wait to read more of your writing!

No worries, I've been raving about this place since I found it yesterday.

Wow! I just finished reading all of that thread thusfar, and I'm absolutely hooked I must say. I can really connect with Harry. It's all so beautifully written that I wish I had known this character and his story back in the days that it all happened.

Just wanted to give another shout-out. You're totally deserving of more praise. Looking forward to more, if there is any. Should consider rewriting it all as a book some day. I love it.

Okay. Enough fangirl squealing from me.

::chuckles:: You'll wear out reading it, believe me. There's a ton more, it's just getting it posted here; I have a copy of it in my story folder on DM, but I figure that a lot of people don't play there and do here, who I plan on interacting with sometime soon.

Thanks again for the shout-out. ::laughs:: I feel loved! And maybe a little worried about living up to the standard.

Oh, quick question? How does someone submit a report on their character's activities to the newsletter? I looked all over, but couldn't find it.

Thank you again!

Oooh, don't you worry. I never get tired of reading.

This, right now, is still a kind of touchy subject. Since the creation of this site and the revival of the newsletter, I've been spending weeks trying to figure out how best to handle UW in the future. I've been given a newsletter creator option for the administration of the site, but still don't know how to make the best use of it.

To answer your question, though: Right now, it's best to just send me your updates in an email. I still send out an AOL email every week (when I remember to write the newsletter) from my Ehzoterik screen name. So for now you can send anything for the newsletter to me over there ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ). Just be sure to note your subject line with something that'll get my attention, such as "UW Updates". A lot of mail gets filtered into my spam folder, so do be certain to subject line something that'll get my attention. "This is not spam" doesn't work all the time.

Keep your eyes peeled on the news I post on the site, too. Once we get all this message board business sorted out, I'll be working on what to do with the newsletter. Changes are in the air. Anyway... enough rambling out of me. Just send me an email and I'll be sure to include your news!
