although i reeeaally would encourage making this 'zine bi-weekly or monthly because i feel like you'd be able to get more stories and such, and generally have a more full product.

My major problem with changing it to bi-weekly or monthly is that I'd have to change the title. It just wouldn't be UW anymore. Not Ubique's Weekly. It'd end up being UB or UM. Though... rofl. Calling it UM (um) kind of amuses me.

You could change the title to Ubique's Whenever.
Then you can retain the UW.

How's about a delete feature for one's own writings?

I cannot seem to find the option that allows me to set that permission up, if it exists! As soon as I do, if I find it, I'll set it up to allow user deletion of posts.

Originally, I was reluctant to do so because of an expected abundance of users starting fights on the Bitch Fest board, and then deleting their posts just to save face. Though the allowing people to edit their own posts lets them do practically the same thing anyway. So it kind of defeats the purpose of my reluctance.

I'll keep digging around. If and as soon as I find it, I'll let you know. Until then, I'm sorry! You're just going to have to get frustrated with the system and cuss it out frequently for being stupid. ;_;

Elections didn't seem to work out the way I had hoped. Nobody really gave me any nominees, but I did get plenty of volunteers. Since I really need and want the help, I've decided to go ahead and give these few volunteers a chance to prove themselves.

So far, one of these volunteers has chosen to remain anonymous. You will see a user known as The Signal, however. This is one of them. I do believe that HGLowe and Tasslehofl (I hope I spelled that right, going by memory) have also volunteered to help.

Additionally, administrator youthculture is obligated. Nyeah! That's what you get for persuading me to bring back the newsletter in the first place!

elf_fu as an honorary publisher is also welcome to help out with the newsletter in the future. In fact, I'd greatly appreciate it. But in all these cases I'm in no way forcing anyone to act. Only asking for your help where you are willing to give it.

If any of you feel that you need me to hand out specific projects, I think now that I have the rebuilt structure better planned out that I can do that. Where I always need the most help is with the individual character updates and headlines. This does not mean that any single person is required to work on that entire section, but where you can fill in some blanks that would be greatly appreciated.

ps: A great place to look for headlines is on the RDI site. The playables are a great resource. Not to mention your personal RP experiences and events you've personally witnessed.

I'm expecting you all to be my further extended eyes and ears in the role-play world! Don't disappoint me! And ... thank you all for volunteering your help. You don't know how much I appreciate the support.

The biggest thing, at least that I think we'd need, would be help with the RDI/RoH storyline spotlights, or current events, and any character updates from that group. Putting out an announcement might help.
