A flash chat can be easily installed. Only reason why I haven't popped it in yet is because of Ehz's aversion to flash chat. It's a good server and should be pretty quick. Lemme know.

My stance on this still stands as a steadfast and vehement: NO.

Anyway, I feel as if I have may have worn out my welcome and overstepped the boundaries while adding stuff to the site. I'll do only what is asked from now on.

I am also anti flash chat. I really don't want this to turn into DM version 2 -- especially when we all play on AOL anyway, so there isn't a huge need.

While not vehement, my answer remains (as I think you brought it up before). No.

I see Mutual Endeavors as a discussion board for role play, a showcase for role play and a place to chew the fat over role play. But if people want to socialize and or play, they should use one of the many, many, many venues offered out there to do so.

Also, I'd never use it.

I wonder, though, what if we stick up a link for a forum chat room like an AIM room or something? I'm not always willing to crank up the AOL software, but Trillian is a piece of cake.

All right. My opinions on flashchat not withstanding, I'm sitting here testing out the option with Mike.

Functionally: It loads pretty fast. For me. I'm using Roadrunner, cable modem, accessibility ISP-ness. Don't know about the rest of you. But it should load up quick for DSL and other similar services. For dial-up? I'm really not sure I'd recommend it, but if you're feeling brave you could try it.

Go ahead and test it out. I'm still ... indecisive. But I at least told Mike I'd think about it. Maybe we can find some use for it. Like maybe an OOC place to hang out and BS like we usually do with "stalkers anonymous" when I'm really bored and don't feel like role-playing.

It's...surprisingly fast. I assume that's because it doesn't have the same server load the D.M. has, and because there are very little modifications done to the chat.
