Why I voted for Friday 1 Year, 2 Months ago

On our front page, we've had a poll running for quite some time. The poll is asking users when the U.W (our newsletter detailing in character happenings) should be published.
I voted for Friday, and I'll tell you why.
Most of us are, if not nearing the age, OF the age of adults. MOST (not all! I know!) of us have Monday to Friday jobs, this means everything tends to fall on the weekends during the day. Our relaxation, our grocery shopping, or times with family, or hard-core role playing sessions. Things we've been waiting all week to do that may not be perceived as a chore.
I seem to have the most happen to my characters during week-end play. Do you?
Gathering the information for, and editing a newsletter is work and can be a chore. I voted for Friday so that the work could be done during the Monday - Friday when most (not all, I know, I know!) are home. Leaving Saturday and Sunday 'days off,' for editors.
So. That's why.
What day did you vote for, and tell me why you think that's a kick ass day?

I voted for Monday, because that's when the original UW newsletter used to be sent out, either by SM or myself. Sentimental reasons, really.

saturday, since the RRT isn't *technically* open on saturdays and it gives out something to cover that gap, i feel.

Since most of us seem to gravitate to that room lately.

Actually, it changed. Looking back at older issues, it fluctuated. Sometimes Mondays. Sometimes Sundays. Then there was a longer stretch of time in which the newsletter was sent out on Tuesdays. That day just seemed to work best for some reason.
I voted for Saturdays like Kelsey, much for the same reason. It seems to be the one day of the week in which finding decent role-play just isn't easy. The RRT isn't open, and most of the other rooms are full of dicers and n00bs. Yes, I said n00bs. The MT gets old because it's the same large group of lurkers that fill up the room and don't play. There's maybe 35 people there and only a half dozen actually actively playing with no active RO to ask them to leave or boot them out to make room for people who do want to play.
Anyway! Saturday seems to be an off day. However, I also voted for Friday. See. I can't make up my mind. Friday seems like a good day because I'm always certain to be online on Fridays. Saturdays have become uncertain days. My sleeping schedule doesn't want to create itself or work with me at all. I attend a weekly D&D group on Sundays and don't like to be online Saturdays simply because I don't want someone to rope me into role-playing, get me hooked and excited and thrilled about playing out a scene, only to realize hours later that oops it's midnight and I'm not going to sleep tonight.
I'm a sucker for role-play. It's too easy to catch my interest about something and for time to fly by to the point of me realizing I'm going to get hit by the insomnia bat. As much as I want to play, I just try not to play to avoid that. I enjoy my weekly D&D game just as much and hate crawling into the store fucking exhausted, like I did yesterday from not sleeping.
Friday just seems to be a happy medium. So does Monday. I'm always on those days because I can't seem to be online on the weekends myself. For most people it may be the best time to play, but I just can't do it anymore. My weekends are reserved for other things offline.
