Scheduled as an event happening on Thursday, August 9, 2007! based on some room play that happened tonight (July 31, 2007) in the Rambling Rose Tavern, a large group of us are getting together to play a scene where our characters go out clubbing!

Our dear Jos here is planning the party, and as such I figured I could start the new boards flowing with some board play to be placed in the Interactive Stories folder. The first new story to hit the new boards! Go me.

In the next week, I'll try to post up a starter thread to describe the club in full detail. We can probably play it out very simply. There's no huge plot planned, but if anyone wants to throw in a curve ball or two, more power to you.

All the characters involved should have been hooked up with Jos's cellphone number. Here are the characters who were initially invited last I knew: Sin, Mike, Allen, Irina, Val, Stevi, Stormraven, and Dris (who Sin is supposed to bring along). As well as Jos, that makes nine people. There was a miscalculation, and Jos is booking a "booth" or back room for ten. This leaves one slot open if any characters want to invite someone else. Hint, hint. That is only for the backroom, though.

The scene itself is a club, as previously mentioned. Just because ten people are being invited into an exclusive back room doesn't mean that other characters couldn't happen to be at the club as well. So this isn't exactly a closed storyline.

If you are interested, please respond to this thread. Especially those of you who agreed to play in the event. I'd like double confirmation that everybody's willing to participate, regardless of how long it takes us to wrap things up. I think it will be fun just to let our characters hang out and party together.

Any questions and comments can be taken to an OOC thread in the appropriate folder. It's likely we'll have to start one up for that. In any case...

Val will be there, wearing something that shows her cleavage!

Storm's working on filling that extra slot, but who knows if the invitee will actually SHOW.

Irina will be there, in a cleavage-rocking outfit, too.

Shame none of my chars were around to get invited...but then again, I don't see any of them as really the clubbing type...with maybe the exception of Jos's pharmacutrial counterpoint possably...Hmm...but then again, he could be in the main club, but not have an invite to the back.

Diana wasn't around to be invited either, but it's pretty well established that her father owns a club near the spaceport called the Supernova. If you want to make use of that setting let me know.

Also, I'm thinking that this is why Jos is doing it on the boards. So people that weren't around get a chance to show up (though perhaps not to the back room without some sort of sneaking option going on), and it's not dependent on "Be online on August 9th!". KnowhutImean, Vern?

Two reasons why I'm doing it on the boards.

1. There's no guarantee that 8-10 people are going to be online at the same specified time on Thursday the 9th. I didn't want to rush things and demand that everybody be able to make a play date in a week. Ridiculous of me to be that selfish, when who knows what people have planned elsewhere (RL happenings included).

2. Yes. It's a club. Sure, only 10 people are invited into the special access back room "booth," but that doesn't mean other people don't go to this same club either. Call it coincidence, or whatever you want, but I'm not going to lock doors on a setting as public as a dance club.

Make that three reasons...

3. The Rose is open on Thursdays. I didn't want to cut into the play that happens there and ruin anyone elses' party, yanno?

I'm not sure about the other person that replied about not being around to be asked, but I wasn't complaining just making an observation.

Oh I'm not complaining about not getting invited, no not at all, seriously. If anything, I'm complaining about my work schedual preventing me for getting any real RP time in. So Any and All Board play is Great! As it's about the only RP I'll be getting on a regular basis.
