Where does your inspiration come from for your story lines? The big HUGE story lines that may include a room full of people, your private, your small-group-of-friends. Where does that inspiration seep from? Media? Music? Books? Friends? Real life? All of the above?

I rarely plan out full stories. In fact, this latest with Renne, I've only planned perhaps two sections of it. I knew they had to happen. So they did. Much of what goes on is sheer reaction to what's going on and yes, I will admit strong inspiration from real life, history and from the papers I have.
This last year and a bit has been overall, a reaction to a sngle event.

As a whole, I dislike trying to plan out stories simply because there is too much to trust to the winds. I figure, what happens, will happen.
Exceptions to this include if my Renne happens to screw up royally, if the Time comes around(which it will again next year) or if something requires some amount of ritualism.

Other'n that? I let whatever or whomever I find inspire and Renne does the rest.

I'm just his hands.
He's mine. But I don't own him.
I created him fully and completely. But he is his own.

Yo. Sorry if I unwittingly killed this thread -- had no intention to. Anyhoo, for anyone out there, Bright Beltaine.

Nah, most of us are just multitasking like crazy and haven't had time to really think about it.

Most of my inspiration comes from constant questioning and answering in writing. In RPing, though, I just tend to go with the flow of how it happens. All impromptu, all the time.

I usually end up drawn into SLs as my characters live out their lives.

I tend to float about too much myself. A few planned SL's never turn out, there's always some issue either with myself or a play partner that has it fall through.

While it's as difficult to try and keep informal SL's and connections, I think it works for me in the long run because I tend to appear and disappear so much.
