Since we now have less than a week to move Mutual Endeavors to a new server, I'm going ahead and shutting down the forums. One of our many working around the clock heroes, Mel (elf_fu) has created for us a temporary subdomain on her website 2phatgeeks. Though currently, members will need to start from scratch by registering to this site in order to post. At this point in time we are unable to transfer the entire database to her subdomain. Rest assured we are working on a permanent solution and this change is only temporary. Discussion is ongoing through our Facebook community page as, presently, it is the easiest for me to access during the day through my phone. I will try to find time to write a more detailed report and post it to both the ME Facebook community as well as the ME LiveJournal community. Additionally I will try to find time to register to the temporary 2phatgeeks forum and include updates there as well.
I owe a great deal of thanks to the dedication of our members during this time of crisis. As I've said a billion gazillion times before, Mutual Endeavors would be nothing without you. It's your support that keeps us going. All the money that has been previously donated by you generous and spectacular people will be put toward securing a new webhost and hopefully perserving the site as you know it. Special thanks to Mel, Trent, Tass, and a few others whose RP aliases I don't rightly remember off the top of my head. Thank you for finding us on Facebook and providing your input.
In brief, Mutual Endeavors will likely be shutting down next Friday, September 23, 2011. We need to find a new web host ASAP. We can stay in contact through Facebook and/or the Mutual Endeavors LiveJournal community @ http://mutualendeavors.livejournal.com/. I have until then to download all our content and hopefully save it, though I have no idea what I'm doing. We'll be looking into finding a new web host as quickly as possible too. Though I don't have a lot of free time on my hands because of being a full time stay at home mom, I'll try my best to save our community.
Did you know that Mutual Endeavors recently had a birthday? July 11, 2011 marked the 4th year Mutual Endeavors Website Anniversary! I've been so busy with baby and life lately that I didn't get around to announcing it until just now, though. Happy belated birthday, MEsite! Many, many mucho thanks to all of our members for making this community what it is today. Without you, we'd be nothing! Because of you, we are something! -Confetti!-
